"We stayed in this lodge for our visit to the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. We had a room that had a park view which was well worth every penny. The room had a little patio which we enjoyed each morning and evening. The breakfast is certainly "grab and go". You pick it up in the lobby and bring it to your patio (in our case) and eat. If I were to make a suggestion to the owners, it would be to have more lighting in the rooms as the wood in the room absorbs the light (we know how that goes because we live in a log house). I would also recommend an extra trash can in the bathroom."

"Everything was perfect! Great house with amazing views. It was the perfect base camp for us to explore the area and then come back to relax. It felt very private and the backyard was perfect for watching deer roam through. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. If we had forgotten anything we would’ve been fine."

"We arrived late at night the directions were so helpful. I’d arrive in the light 0f day instead. The accommodations were super clean and well designed. It’s an awesome grain bin. So different. Big comfy bed. Lots of blankets. We came for the stars on a dark sky night. It was so satisfying! We laid right outside our grain bin in the back of our truck. We brought pillows and blankets. The Luriad Meteor shower was happening. We watched from 2:30 am till dawn. For me, it was spectacular. I met the owner and she was so cool. They’re completing more places to stay and I’m certain they’ll be awesome. We had the BEST time!!!!!"

"What a fabulous stay our small group of five just had! The peace and quiet, the rustic (and spotlessly clean) charm of this quirky home, all the facilities, and the location, met all our needs. This really was a break for us, and a comfortable escape. We definitely want to return. We left with regret, but with a great deal of gratitude."

"What a cozy secluded cabin! It was very clean, communication was great, check-in was seamless, and it was probably the most well-stocked VRBO we've experienced!Also, although we didn't bring pets, it is very dog friendly with dog beds, bowls, toys, and even a dog run!Highly recommend!!"

The home was spotless—truly felt like a 5-star hotel, but with the comfort and space of a private house. The views were absolutely stunning, and it’s easy to see why this area is known for its consistently beautiful weather—it made the whole experience even better.One of the highlights was how much there was to explore right from the property. Our kids loved adventuring in the huge open quarry up the road, hiking the private road to the secluded box canyon, and exploring the historic ghost town of Calcite on the property—such unique experiences.Inside, the home was just as thoughtfully set up. There were plenty of toys and games that kept our kids happily entertained, and the kitchen had everything we needed to comfortably prepare meals during our stay.We also took a trip into Salida and spent time at the riverside park, which was a great outing and an easy complement to all the exploring back at the house.If you’re looking for a peaceful, beautiful place with plenty of outdoor adventure, this is it. We’d absolutely stay here again."
