It was just ok. Restaurant only open at night and very expensive. Loaf of bread is not exactly a good breakfast. Room was very small, balcony view was terrible, not worth the extra money.

Older building on a cobblestone street, but chic and sleek inside. Lovely entryway where they welcome you with a glass of Prosecco. The room was of a good size and had a lovely bathroom with massive shower. The Restaurante Bonaparte downstairs was incredible. Breakfast is brought to your room but is a big carb load with croissant, madeleine, yogurt, juice. I would very happily stay here again.

The staff is so kind and helpful navigating the city, recommending things to do, etc. They made sure we had everything we needed and then some. The breakfast got a little old as it was just bread (croissants or baguettes) dried fruit and a cheese stick each day.

We could not sleep at all during our stay during July 06-08. The club downstairs was very loud, the ear plugs did not help. The bars down the street did not close until 4AM. The bar had very noisy and loud karaoke music until 4AM. Our room was next to the elevator. Very loud at all hours of the night, we heard people having sex a couple rooms down at 1:30AM. I constantly heard drunk people in the hallway every 2 hours. The walls are paper thin. I am sad because the hotel is very beautiful and good location. We could not sleep and it ruined our short stay in Montreal, very tired and not feeling well The restaurant had excellent service, but the lamb shank was disappointing and dry. Please have Amanda, the manager, call or email me. To make this right, I respectfully ask for a refund on the 2 nights of parking and the dinner tab on Sunday. The wine was good but the lamb shank and terrine was dry. The scallop dish was okay. Overall the meal was not memorable nor the stay due to the constant loud noises from 11pm-5am. Thank you.

Hotel Bonaparte has an old world charm, with what appears to be reclaimed wood floors and exposed brick throughout. It provides an ideal location to explore Old Montréal and nearby downtown. It is a short walk to shopping dining, and port activities. It is also a brief walk to the Metro station. As a bonus, the Hotel Bonaparte’s restaurant is one of the best French restaurants in the city. Their lamb shank and Grand Marinier soufflé for dessert were two incredible dishes I will not soon forget. We will definitely stay in this quaint, clean, and well-located boutique hotel again when visiting Montréal.

wonderful place to stay in Old Montreal. The staff was super accommodating. We loved the location and being able to walk to all the Old Montreal attractions. The restaurant in the Bonaparte was excellent and the breakfast that was included each day was a special treat!

From the moment I arrived until I checked out, every staff person I met was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The property is located just 2-3 blocks in any direction from restaurants, cafes and a number of cultural and historical sites - perfect to avoid the noise of the tourists but still be close enough to everything. The room was stylish, spacious and clean and the bed was so comfortable. I really appreciated the umbrellas hanging in the closet, the in-room mini fridge and the basket of continental breakfast waiting outside my door each morning. It was lovely to sit by the open window, listening to the birds with my coffee and breakfast - all while still in my pjs.
