"Lovely hotel"

"A great value hostel for the price point! The location is excellent. I felt safe going to and from the hostel. Since it is located in the center it does get a bit loud outside sometimes. Female only Room: - Curtains for every bunk for privacy. I think these were blackout curtains too. - Clean! - The rooms are quite small, so with my locker/drawer location, every time I rolled out my drawer it blocked the door and anyone coming in. - Pillow is very flat which isn't my preference. Washroom: - Washrooms and showers are individiual rooms separate from the bunk bed room. There was 3 washrooms and 2 shower rooms. - I do wish they had more hooks for the washroom, hair dryer in every shower room, and at least one more shower room per floor. Common space: - Generally clean. The stairwell did smell damp sometimes. - Stairwell is narrow, characteristic of Dutch buildings. There is a elevator however. - Wifi was working well but I had to go through the terms/acceptance page each day I came in."

"I was thrilled to realize, when I arrived, that the room I'd booked was at the back of a pub! Seriously, I am obsessed with history, and the idea of staying in a "tavern" the way people used to back across the ages gave me such joy. Not only that, but our room - the downstairs one - had the most fabulous view. It sits only several inches above the canal, with a huge window out to all the action on the waterway. Stunning and then some! The bed was very comfortable, the room incredibly clean, and everything from the guest service to the location was wonderful. My only issue had nothing to do with the hotel and everything to do with the fact that my daughter packed such a heavy suitcase! :)"
