The hotel is a great location for the beach and walkable to Newport. The elevators make a loud noise like a giant vacuum cleaner. The staff offered to change our room but we were unpacked and the elevators were used less at night. Avoid the numbers ending in the 28 range like 328.

30 year old couple, loved that this hotel was walkable to beach. Literally across the street! Walkable to breakfast spots and lunch. Just a short 2 minute drive to Newport town and shops. The hotel itself offered coffee every morning which was a great help to hold us over till breakfast! They also have a sweet deck top area with loungers which was just perfect to have a drink before our night out or a night cap! Stay in the regular room building, that’s where all the amenities are, and our room was spacious with a beach view and a refrigerator. Shower was great, and even little table and extra chair to lounge in room. Parking included. Will definitely stay AGAIN!!

Screens missing on windows and could not leave open for extended time for fresh air. Sink had a clog and water drained very slow. Housekeeping was fair. Did not replace water glasses in bathroom after we used the ones initially left. Had to go to lobby to get spare water cups.

Generally have been happy with this hotel, this past trip I can’t say the same. For 2 nights in a row there has been an exceptionally high amount of disturbance from guests and possible employees (not sure which). My room is located right near the front desk and there’s clearly no one to monitor or address these issues or even have consideration for the guests. I was with my 9 year old daughter and the level of noise and vulgarity of the talk going on in the hallways was beyond unacceptable going past 2:00am. Not a great experience, unfortunately

My review is mostly for the price. The place is a dump in relation to the money they’re charging. The room itself was fine but the rest of the building was dated, dirty, and dingy. The room was large and had what you needed but not a touch of making it seem fancy. Again, for the price, they need to try a little harder. The room we stayed in in the “suites” building had a petco smelling sauna hallway outside where the other rooms air conditioning units were filtering into, and I would just never swim in the pool. If you’re cool with sub par amenities but love a super touristy beach, this place is perfect. BYOB - bring your own bedding.

We visit Newport, RI every year and we always stay at Atlantic Beach Hotel. The hotel is clean, staff are polite and it is near the beach and to some restaurants. We walk to the beach on early mornings. There is also a very nice french bakery nearby that is a must to visit whenever you’re in Newport, Le Bec Sucre. The only complain I have is PARKING. There’s limited parking in this big hotel.

This location is fantastic. Beach is across the street. Cliff walk entrance is a 10 min walk. Hotel was clean and updated. Will definitely return.

The hotel is very convenient to the beach and a short walk to the Cliff Walk. The staff were very friendly. There was sufficient parking. The two bed suite was spacious. There is a small indoor pool. The furniture and tvs in the room were newer. The paintwork, doors, fixtures are all very old and in need of repair.
