This hotel was unique and very nice overall. The grounds are clean and well kept. No housekeeping was provided during our stay, but I assume this is a Covid protocol. A small breakfast bag was offered each morning. (We only did this once, since we wanted to eat at the bakeries in Solvang every morning.)
A few issues: getting into the parking lot can be dangerous due to location. It's also right behind a gas station, and the buzzer for the car wash went off all day and night and woke us up multiple times. That's not the fault of the hotel, but it's a definite drawback if your room faces the gas station.
The only real "issue" we had was the shower. Many hotels have recently started putting in the half-doors in the shower, which was an absolute nightmare in this case, because you have to reach into the shower and get sprayed by freezing cold water in order to turn it on. Absolutely the most insane shower design I've ever seen. It was also a rainfall showerhead with low water pressure. My husband and I both said we felt like we hadn't showered and weren't getting clean. After a four night stay, we were desperate for a real shower.
I might stay here again, because I've definitely stayed at worse and it was safe and clean, but minor issues would possibly push me to look elsewhere.
