"This is a beautiful cottage and it is very well kept and clean. Our stay was in early spring during cold weather and the furnace was more than up to the task. Access to the beach is across an unbusy road, and the view of the beach and bay was very nice. Lots of amenities as described in the write-up, and everything was tip-top shape. We had a very relaxing long weekend in spite of less than ideal weather. I'm sure this property is wonderful in the spring, summer, and fall. I highly recommend this property, and will be looking to come back again."

"Here is a cleaned-up version that keeps your voice but fixes grammar and flow:This was by far the nicest VRBO home I have ever stayed in. It may honestly be the nicest home I have stayed in, period. Everything about the design of the home is so well thought out. You can tell the owners put a lot of care and intention into creating this place.For example, the entire home has heated floors. There are large windows everywhere, bringing in tons of natural light. The décor is gorgeous, and the home strikes a perfect balance between cozy and functional. There is great technology for relaxing, including huge TVs and comfortable chairs, along with quiet spaces that are perfect for reading or working remotely.The bathrooms were incredible, with three beautiful showers and a huge bathtub.We also saw deer roaming constantly in the wooded area behind the house, which added something really special to the experience.I had a couple of questions during our stay, and the response time from the host was extremely fast.The house is close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough out to be peaceful and quiet.The dry sauna was amazing. It was my first time using a wood stove heated sauna, so it took a little learning at first, but once I figured it out it was incredible.Thank you for sharing such a beautiful home with us."

"We had a very disappointing experience with this property and feel obligated to warn future guests.When we arrived, it was immediately clear the unit had not been cleaned from the previous guests. When we pulled back the sheets on the main bed, we found multiple types of hair under the sheets along with visible stains. Hoping it was just that bed, we checked the spare bedding, but all of it was also dirty, stained, and covered in hair.We pulled out the futon hoping it might be usable, but it was covered in dog hair and sand from previous guests. At that point it was obvious the unit had not been properly cleaned between stays. We also found both live and dead bugs in the unit.We attempted to contact the host and reached out to VRBO through their platform while we were there. After getting nowhere and realizing the property was not in a condition to stay in, we left after about an hour and booked a hotel instead.The next morning the hosts messaged us through VRBO agreeing to a 100% refund, but when we attempted to get the refund they denied it. Despite the written agreement, VRBO was zero help resolving the situation.The listing’s claims about cleanliness were misleading, the unit was clearly not cleaned between guests, and the hosts went back on their promise to refund us. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property."

"The lodge was very nice, very clean and a great location. Check in was super easy and we had no issues with that piece. Our only negatives are I had a difficult time sleeping because the mattress was extremely firm. My wife thought there could be a couple wall hangings to make the room have a warmer feel. Overall an outstanding stay."

"House had everything we needed for our winter stay of 3 nights. Dog friendly was perfect. We snowshoed on the lake and did day trips to Traverse and Boyne."
