"I was so nervous about my stay in California, mostly worried about safety/location/busy-ness of things. I was SO pleasantly surprised!! Ventura was not the busy/crazy I thought it would be. The location and hotel were great! Literal 10 min walk to the beach, they kept the property very clean, actively outside cleaning up the parking lot, pool area. Inside they were touching up paint, sweeping. You would never guess it was a packed hotel, it was quiet (I was on the side facing an open field, not so sure about the side that McDonald’s is on though). The room did have an interesting smell. Not bad.. and the room was very clean, just interesting..
Also, it was not the temperature I expected it to be and I only packed dresses. The front desk guy was like oh there is a thrift store downtown if you want to grab something. GENIUS!! 5 min drive, we had so much fun and I found a perfect light cardigan for the remainder of my trip! Very good experience!!! "

"This place was super cool. A great location, just a quick walk to the beach. Easy check-in with a keypad. The kitchen had what we needed. The extra refrigerator in the garage was a big plus! The beds were super comfy. David was very responsive with anything we needed. We will definitely be back! "

We stayed here to go to the Channel Islands National Park and it was very convenient. Restaurants nearby. "

I came in with a reservation that didn't start until the next day and they were booked solid, the owner extended himself so much as to give up the room he had for himself, I had just drove 4 hours after working a 12 hour day and he noticed, I was too exhausted to decline such a giving gesture......so I say thank you again for such generosity and will insist to hat anyone who finds themselves in need of lodging to stay at The Bayshore!!"

This home is an easy walk to the beach, is beautifully lit and easily shaded, has comfortable beds and lush linens, a FULLY stocked kitchen, and a gorgeous backyard. The host is communicative and accommodating and I am already planning my next return "home." "

"Beautiful views of Ventura and the ocean from a comfortable home on a hill. We appreciated the off-street parking in a carport. We chose the home because of the two bedrooms each with their own bathroom. There was also a small bathroom upstairs. Lots of closet space was a benefit not usually available in a rental. We were a group of 5, two grandparents and a daughter, son-in-law and one granddaughter. We did have to be very careful on the stairs going down to the bedrooms from the living room. We enjoyed our stay."

"The owner was great. She really wanted us to enjoy ourselves. Great location and really nicely decorated. The rooms were comfortable and everything was so clean and organized. There was a lot of beach chairs, towels and play toys. And a really nice backyard with a big lawn. We will be back."
