Very nice property

Grand Panama is a very nice property and sits right on the beach. This is second year staying here and it is convenient to many restaurants, shopping, and activities. The management keeps the property in very good condition.

Easy Check in. Room was clean and beautiful. We only had 2 issues. Someone left a massive amount of egg shells and wax paper in the garbage disposable. The disposal did not work and the sink backed up at times. I reported this to the property management and they were to tell maintenance. The second issue was the door to the washer/dryer would not open. I also reported this. Maintenance never came to fix the issues while we were there. Otherwise, the unit was clean and very nice.

Family vacay

It was a nice place other than a few spots of damage and the toilet running but we did report it and the host was very nice about it. The property itself was nice and the help was very friendly! The tiki bar was very good and convenient.

Location! It’s just above and overlooking the pool area and beach with palm trees placed to perfection. It was gorgeous and we were right in the middle of all the good vibes. This is a nice condo. I would stay here again!

Great unit to stay at

I love Grand Panama resort. All the units are great. I have stayed here 4 times and have loved it every time. This stay was great also. Love the unit on the second floor over looking the pool. The unit was perfect. A little wear and tear on the unit but that was over looked due to being in paradise. Definitely would stay in this unit again. 5 star rating.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was such a perfect spot for us to enjoy on our vacation. It was a pleasant surprise that it was on the second floor! We never used the elevators and were able to walk one floor up and down from the condo to the beach in just minutes! The staff at Emerald Coast were more than helpful and we couldn’t beat the amount of space we had for the price! 10/10!

The condo was nice. A mixture of new and outdated. We had a couple of cleanliness issues. The comforters on two of the beds were dirty/stained and there was hair and plastic left in the bathtub. They sent someone to clean the bathtub and we ended up having to wash the bedding. Overall, it was a nice stay. Great location! I will definitely go back.

Great beach location

We have stayed at a number of condos in Panama City Beach. This one was on a lower floor than we normally stay which was convenient and still had great views, so the location was a positive! There were a few things that were disappointing but probably just a matter of taste. I thought the king size bed was like sleeping on piece of plywood. Interestingly enough, there was a new mattress under the bed still in plastic that had not just been put on the bed. I think other reviews have also given the bed low marks. The front door frame looked like the door had been kicked in at least once. I did not see in the listing description that parking at the facility was not included. It was disclosed after I booked the listing. We were not aware of the $80.00 cost for our two vehicles. Needless to say that process was a little frustrating and time consuming when we arrived. The patio was a nice size and the sliding glass doors worked well (some we have stayed in required a weight lifter to open the door…Just kidding…but these were nice and worked well. The beach chair service is always a welcome extra. Thank you for providing that.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect right on the beach and overlooking the pool. The building maintenance crew were incredible. They were constantly mopping, cleaning and taking care of maintenance. I have never experienced such a well maintained condo complex. The bbqs were cleaned daily and nearly spotless. The unit itself wasn’t very clean when we arrived, but we did our own deep cleaning and maintained it very tidy as we always do. We found receipts that were over 2 years old under one bed and a lot of dirt and construction trash behind the refrigerator. I also repaired one of the two sliding glass doors since it wouldn’t open and precious guests complained about that. We are somewhat eccentric about cleanliness. I actually washed the couch cushions and the chair cushions as well as the deck. I also bought new chairs for the Deck as the chairs that were there were in mismatched and in poor condition. I left the new chairs there for the next guests to enjoy. The main pool was heated but still a bit cold. The hot tub was clean and very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Underwhelming

This condo was extremely underwhelming and had several issues. Upon arrival, no lights were turned on. We didn’t get there until later in the evening, but the other half of my family had the condo next door (owned by a different company) and they had nice lighting upon entering their room. The room itself was not very clean, crumbs and other debris on the ground, some of the outlets/light switches either had missing or broken plates, the couch had some spots on it and overall, the place just looked very dated. The “master” bedroom was extremely tight and the curtains weren’t even fully hung in this room. Also upon arrival, while we were unpacking, it was so hot and we couldn’t get the thermostat to go below 75/76. They thankfully sent someone about an hour later. The other issue we had were ants all over the counter, ground, and even in the bathroom. They thankfully sent someone to spray and set up any traps, which did help to keep them at bay for the week, but I didn’t love being in there with an infant and kids with the smell of raid that lingered all day. Lastly, the fridge didn’t get very cold. We thankfully had room in my family’s fridge next door so all of our groceries didn’t spoil. I contacted them about this issue as well, but received no response about it. Basically the only thing this condo has going for it is that it’s second floor and right on the beach, but, unfortunately, we won’t be staying here again.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Photos were deceiving - outside furniture was worn and pieces missing. (The picture shown is DECEPTIVE) The clothes washer was dirty and nasty. The shower was broken and the front toilet and dishwasher leaked. (When the repairman finally came, he did fix the shower but just replaced the toilet flapper, which continued to slowly leak; the flusher handle broke off making it impossible to flush unless on removed the tank lid to manually flush) The toaster did not work. The kitchen was not well stocked for renters that wanted to cook. (only 3 plates on which to eat, no potholders ...) The heater would only go up to 65 degrees. When property manager was called with these issues, they were slow to respond. All that being said - the location was central to activities and the beach view was wonderful. However, if you mind screeching children this unit was not the one for you as you were only one floor above the pool with the pool being front and center to the balcony. (to peacefully enjoy the sun and pool, one had to cross from one building to the other)Grand Panama complex had good amenities with two pools and a gym. (which was amply equipped). Parking was not a problem either.

Upon arrival, there were several dishes that were put away in the cabinets that were dirty and needed rewashed. Condo also had an odd smell (kind of musty) and we realized the air filter looked like it had not been changed in a while. There were new filters in the closet, we replaced it and the smell improved. We LOVE that this condo is on the second floor because you don’t have to wait forever for the elevators.

Reviewer Comments: Condo needed to be updated and cleaned better , you could tell it had a lot of wear n tear on that condo. Sheets still had hairs on them , I had to rewash all of sheets . The hot water kept running out I had after 1 shower, I had ti call 2x before it got fixed . I didn’t like the fact you had to pay 50$ for parking pass. There was still a lot of sand on floor . Need to take nasty worn rugs up at front door and back door. However , beach location and pool was very nice and convenient to shops n restaurants.

Great complex-bad unit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the Grand Panama complex and it’s location. The unit, however was lacking. The master bath toilet was rocking, the master bed was hard as a rock. Even my grandkids said it was like laying on boards. It took us three days and four calls to get the bunk tv remotes replaced so the TVs would work. There was also no dust pan and even after we asked one was not provided.

Great little place!

Location is incredible, Elevators were fast, and the beach is a short walk down. The unit itself was a tad dated and the mattresses are ready to be replaced, but other than that, we loved it. Had a great time and would stay again!
