“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the historic Palazzo San Demetrio (hotel location is on second floor) with a balcony overlooking the lively Via Etnea. Our high-ceilinged room was very comfortable, and the reception staff very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast room overlooks the Piazza dei Quattro Canti at the corner of Via Etnea and Via Sangiuliano. The hotel location could hardly be more central. Croissants fresh from the oven, a buffet of Sicilian sweet and savoury breakfast choices,……

“Great central location for most attractions. For train or bus stations, it takes about 15-20min walk. Luca (host) was easy to reach and gave us information around the area. Only thing to note: the accommodation is on 1st floor without lift, and fewer charging ports that others that we stayed in. But for us is no big deal. ”

“Sabina is a gracious host. The room was very clean, lovely and comfortable. The view from the balcony was exquisite. We were able to see the Teatro Massimo Bellini. The breakfast was simple yet delicious. We were within walking distance to several restaurants and the Palazzo. Definitely a great place to stay when in Catania. ”

But, if a writing table is provided will be better. Also, its a bit noisy in morning when someone showering, the sounds of water tubes quite large. ”
