"The vibrant red lobby is fun and the location is excellent.The staff of this hotel are helpful and pleasant. The construction was loud but it is New York near Times Square so you may want to ask if there is a quieter side when you check in. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again."

"Expedia claims to include all fees and taxes, but we were charged $20 daily "facility fee," which amounted to another $100. This is Expedia's issue. We were happily surprised that our king bed room included a small refrigerator. Apparently this building houses rent-controlled tenants, and this fact created a situation in which a tenant asked us to move rooms during our stay."

"Overall, I had a good stay. I understand the building is old, but there were things that are basic maintenance that needed to be done. Example, paint chipping off the doors and moulding, the ceiling above the shower was bubbling from the moisture, and there's no fan/vent in the bathroom. The heater did not work, it was blowing out cold air and actually dropped the temperature of the room, thankfully we had warmer weather. It was overall very clean, and the sheets and towels were fresh and clean. I only stayed one night, and it was good enough for that, if I was staying longer, I definitely would have asked for the heat to be addressed. The staff was very nice and check in was very smooth."
