"This was a great hotel. A 5 min walk to the Metro (Orange line) which takes you right downtown Montreal. There’s a Walmart, Tim Hortons, Ardenes outlet, gas stations, and much more all within 2-10 mins away. Staff was awesome, beds were very comfortable. I brought my own pillow so can’t comment on that, husband said they were great. The only complaint was the 2 mile walk through the hotel to my room haha. You’ll get your steps in for sure. "

"The hotel is nice, the rooms and hallways are a but outdated bit clean and neat. The bathrooms are upgraded with nice toilettries and clean towels. The breakfast room is neat, the staff is super nice and the menu is generous and varied. More than what we expected honestly! The gym room is nice and modern, and the pool is super nice. The only thing we hated was the heat control! The room was super hot!! The controller is very old, we pulled the temp down to the minimum but the room stayed so hot! We slept with the windows open, which wasnt very convenient with the busy street downstairs, and the staff had to send us a fan but still we were not able to have a good sleep. Such a shame, if only this part was fixed, I would give them 5 stars overall!!"

"It was under renovation and we got a beautiful room that was redone. The lobby was messy the next morning and we were awake by 6am with the construction going on. "

"I had a great overall stay at Hotel Place d’Armes. The location is excellent and made it easy to enjoy everything in the area, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The main drawback was the room itself. It was quite loud, both from outside city noise and from activity in the hallway, which made it harder to fully relax. The blinds were also not very effective and let in a significant amount of light overnight. In addition, the room could use more practical touches such as additional hooks for towels and better space or surfaces to lay out baggage. That said, the positives outweighed the negatives. With a few improvements to the rooms, this would be an outstanding stay. "
