“Amazing host. They were really helpful and provided a detailed document with recommendations of attractions and dine out options. They do have 2 lovely dogs on site Pluto and Laika. Very friendly. Breakfast in morning was the higlight of the stay. All marmalade/jams were made using home grown fruits and special bread from a local bakery (from Furnas). Even made scrambled eggs for me upon request from farm eggs. Our room was spacious and had attached washroom. Overall the place was very neat and……

“Everything was nice except the rooms was not what we booked. We booked for 3 families and we all got different size rooms which caused conflict. Also the fact that everywhere we went smelled cat pee cause their was so many cats.”

We couldn't get hold of the host and Expedia help line did not answer my messages either (Expedia still never addressed our issue - all messages are u answered). I tried calling the host and they did not answer. We had no information about how to access our room. The host finally sent a txt while I was continually calling to say they couldn't answer the phone right now and……

“What lovely people. From the moment we arrived through to leaving Furnas, the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They excelled making us feel welcome, carrying our luggage, suggesting itineraries, helping us organise taxis and making us feel genuinely valued guests. The breakfast was delicious and the room spacious and characterful. Highly recommended”

“Paulo was an incredible host, suggesting ideas for activities, hikes and restaurants. The bed was confortable and the room had everything you need. If you want to go to bed early or stay in bed late, don’t forget to bring your earplugs if you are in the main building because you can hear people at breakfast. The continental breakfast was complete with eggs, fruits, bread, cheese, ham, yogurt, cake, coffee and tea. There are even passionfruits from the garden sometimes! The pool in a nice……

“Beautiful, restful space with thoughtful amenities”

“Breakfast offerings were excellent but the staff doesn’t clear dirty dishes for the most part. They wait til you leave to clear the dishes. Bed & sheets are comfortable. Garden is a nice walk. Pool & jacuzzis are best used outside of the public hours. Parking lot for overflow is gravel & shoes get dirty if it rained. Not sure why the hotel doesn’t spend the $ to pave it. Swimming pool room was a sauna! Couldn’t even go into the pool because you could barely breathe the air was soooo……

“The property was beautiful. Just off a Main Street but completely private and very quiet. The pods were large and comfortable with beautiful views of the grounds. Breakfast was excellent with lots of delicious options. The entire property was clean and well maintained. Bikes and helmets are available for guest use, very nice! The staff was SO kind and helpful. I absolutely loved this place”
