“Very convenient and clean for road trip. The breakfest was great with real eggs.”

“We were tired of being around all the tourists and wanted something that said “Welcome to Colorado”. This was the place. We received emails from the resort with detailed directions on driving and registration that were easy to follow. The five mile drive up the gravel road took a little longer than expected because a flock of sheep that decided they needed to cross the road in front of us! We had dinner in the restaurant that was good. Many locals were there eating as well. It happened to be……

“Booked this property for the amenities but was I wrong. Hot tub didn’t work and looked like it hadn’t for quite some time. Did not have any continental breakfast like advertised. Outside of property was dirty and not maintained. Would not stay here again.”

“Check-in was very efficient, but the staff was not very friendly. The room was enormous and seemed to be quite clean. However, it is very outdated. I.e. carpet was coming up in places the grout and the tiling snd the finish in the bathroom needs to be redone.. And I get that it’s tourist season, but a little bit overpriced for what it is.”

“Liked the rustic feel. Mattress wasn’t very comfortable; too lumpy, soft. Had difficulty getting the room cool. Recommend not letting the room get so hot before someone stays. Maybe turn down temp just before they arrive.”

“I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, in the exact same room. Not much had changed, except owners. Great location if you have a dog with you as you are only a block from Pioneer Park and quiet neighborhoods. Front desk staff was extremely helpful. The only complaint was the condition of the tub. It was not very clean; the bathroom was overall clean, good towels, but I'm a stickler for a clean showering area. Maybe the tub needs to be reglazed. Very reasonable price.”

“It was a beautiful place! Loved our location. Close to the hot springs pools and right on the river. We could see and hear it from our rooms balcony. Slept with the window open and listened to it all night and it was awesome. There was also a trail loop that ran along the river that you could just hop on and enjoy. We walked it with our 6 year old and had a young buck come right in front of us to cross to the river for a drink. Our son was floored about it. The room was comfortable and……

“Perfect location to downtown Ouray while still feeling a little removed. The access to the Riverwalk allowed us to leave our car in the parking lot the entire trip. Staff were responsive and helpful, while giving us our space as well. Would stay here again.”
