Other reviews have mentioned many of the hotel’s advantages, but as someone who doesn’t like elevators, I especially appreciate that I can book a room without the sometimes complicated task of securing a lower floor afterward—since the hotel only has 2 floors."

"We were only planning to stay one night at Ava lodge before traveling to Tongariro. But due to cyclone Vaianu we called Ava lodge and Joe was able to extend our stay a couple extra nights. Ava lodge was very nice, modern, clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Joe for helping us out 😀"

"The Wellington Intercontinental Hotel was impeccable beginning with the concierges meeting us upon our arrival to the maids who took care of us. The hotel was well located in the downtown area which was readily accessible to area points of interest in a very walkable area of downtown. We will definitely stay here when we return th Wellington.
