We have stayed in most of the center city hotels. We like this the best overall.

Check in was at 4pm, arrived at 4:30, had to wait 2 more hours before we were able to get our room. We weren’t alone, the lobby was full of other people waiting as well. The staff was apologetic and friendly, but we were never offered any form of compensation, not even a complimentary drink at the bar, which I would expect out of a higher end hotel. The property itself is gorgeous and walkable to most everything in downtown Charlotte.
