Came to this Sonesta because In Latin America Sonesta is very good Hotel with good service but this location in Charlotte is really lacking service. How on earth in 2024 does a rooms not have safe vaults to put valuables inside ? Thats ridiculous and aside from that the bathroom lacked soap and other toiletries. Breakfast $35 for cold food at 7:30am thats also crazy. Lacked buffet items aswell no muffins, danishes etc. No waffles nor pancakes overall limited items. Really sad for this hotel also the phone to front desk was not working at all even plugging it in didnt work. Not the best hotel exp to be in the Usa. Ive been to Spain, Colombia & here in the Us even Miami has better service

My room had terrible leaking which caused me to have vacant. However, since the hotel was fully booked, I was force to book another hotel, which also fully booked. As a result, I received a partial refund. Although, I should have received a full refund. Consequently, I have a case pending with Expedia.

I overheard one family saying as I checked in about their room not being cleaned. On my hall another said the same thing. Also on my hall was random trash and two large piles of dirty hotel laundry on the floor. All night! There was a family reunion and people were drinking and smoking blunts everywhere. One man passed out drunk between the double doors. I'm traveling with my four year old daughter so I try to avoid these situations. This had a cheap motel feel not what I wanted.
