Tastefully adapted within the constraints of it's origin - appealing to anyone who dislikes soulless modern road hotels with 24-hour road noise. Instead, open your window (You can!! Hooray!!) and listen to birdsong. Comfort, peace, undisturbed sleep between days of hassle in nearby towns. Deliciously, the 2-foot-thick walls protect you from the demands of phone contact 😀 - that only restarts when you leave the……

“Disappointing. On arrival to the room, there was a distinct musty smell. Not pleasant and still present after opening the windows. No WiFi in the room. Breakfast was almost non existent. For a pub/hotel that promotes its food service and quality, a couple of boxes of cereal and a few miniature pastries was not what was expected or advised. A cooked choice would be expected (and was advertised)”

Great breakfast menu - I had steak and eggs for no supplement, which was a lovely surprise, thanks. I don't travel down this neck of the woods very often, but I'd stay again having grabbed……
