"Check in was easy, room was okay for price , I asked to add some nice touches as it was my anniversary and I’d pay extra, they just left a note on the bed. Could not use the swimming pool as advertised on the booking as swimming lessons were being done. Staff didn’t tell me that even though they gave me towels and told me where the pool was."

"Lovely little place in a really peaceful setting. It's also great to see a company embrace sustainability as well. However, this is also their downfall as well! Unfortunately we were booked in during the hottest weekend of the year so far over May bank holiday and the only room that had proper aircon was reception! The rest of the place was like an oven. It was awful and uncomfortable, just for this aspect alone. The standard rooms, in comparison to Holiday Inns and Premiere Inns, and even some B&B's, was tiny. To the point that both of us kept hitting the wall either side of the bed when getting out, and it was only a standard double sized bed at that (4' 6"!) Again smaller than competitors we've stayed at. Add this to the lack of aircon, and it was really not comfortable at all. All rooms were ground floor as well so leaving a window open to try and get some air was not an option when not inside the room, and we were only supplied with one 6-9 inch plug in fan. If you could replace this hotel with the Holiday Inn at Bedford Services in this gorgeous location, it would be perfect!!"

"These guys can not enough for you, highly recommended, I have stayed in a number of there property’s in the area, and every single one has what you need for a comfort stay. I now book with these guys in the area over the more national companies as there pricing is more competitive for what you get for your stay."

"Clean but very dated — proceed with caution if you have a dog I have mixed feelings about this stay. On one hand, the room was clean, which is the most important thing. However, the condition of the room was quite poor; the furniture felt like it was sourced from a low-end second-hand shop—battered, cheap, and very old. With peeling paint and a budget mattress, the interior wasn't much to look at, and the exterior was equally grim with weeds everywhere and a generally run-down appearance. That being said, the price was very low, and I don't think it is fair to expect luxury at this price point. The biggest issue for me was the "pet-friendly" claim. While the staff were perfectly polite, they appeared to have an acute, phobia-level terror of dogs. It made the entire experience incredibly stressful, as I had to constantly ensure I kept a 10-metre distance from the staff while they scampered away in fear. If you are traveling solo and just need a clean, cheap place to crash, it’s fine for the price. If you are bringing a dog, I’d suggest looking elsewhere to avoid the stress for both you and the staff"

"Check in was very easy and fast and efficient communication with the host. Everything at the property was as listed and met expectations. Was using to visit family in the area and would use again - hopefully when it is warmer so can enjoy the balcony."
