This is an older hotel that has had a major update. Room was very comfortable and clean with all the usual amenities. We had been staying elsewhere in Raton for a number of years and decided to make a change. We are happy we made the change. The restaurant is also great.

It was a nice room, but a few light bulbs were out, and we couldn't figure out why there was an unusable sink that didn't work against the wall in the sitting part of the room beside the bed.

We drove thought Raton. It is an old town and not a whole lot seems to have been updated. There are buildings boarded up downtown, a few small cafes that serve breakfast lunch and dinner. There is a McDonald's close to the interstate.

Ate at K-BOB’s, salad bar is outstanding, steak was just so-so, no taste, but the beer is way overpriced. $5.00 a bottle for a Shiner Bock! I stopped at a gas station across the street on the way back and bought a six-pack for less than $9.00.
