It was summertime and particialty hot for the area a few days and they gave us advice on keeping it comfortable but it did hit 80 degrees in the living area, while the AC kept the bedroom cool. There are bugs, it cant be helped so if you cant handle ants and spiders think twice. There was soap scum in the bathroom but otherwise it felt very clean. “We loved our short stay here. The house is beautiful and really well decorated. The picture windows overlooking the lake were the best part. We have 3 kids and preferred staying on this inlet of the lake over the main lake. The water was calm and the kids could kayak and paddle boat easily. We had two families of ducks that would swim nearby. The house had everything we could need to cook our own meals. And we really enjoyed the fire pit and s’mores in the evening.We loved our stay! ”

“The property was bigger than I anticipated! Very clean and bright. Everything you need is located within the property. Note, there is no yard or anywhere for your pets to use the bathroom. Literally the only complaint I had! So closeTo everything and the host and housekeeper were quick to respond when the lock wasn’t working. Would definitely stay again!”

The only thing that wasn't clearly explained in the description is that the master bedroom is its own separate structure (so you have to go outside the main cabin to get to it). This was not a problem for us because our kids are older, but if you have very small kiddos, this is important to know. Also, no carafe in coffee pot but Rep from Vacasa brought a new coffeemaker upon arrival to check and find that propane was empty. I think anymore than 4 adults would be somewhat cramped. “This is the second time that we have rented this property. The lake is so peaceful and warm. The town has everything you need from a donut shop, takeout stand, a restaurant that also has great takeout, a great grocery store, etc. The camp also has everything you need.
