“This is a new place… in the property where Blackberry Inn was located. It is 2 minutes from town and this location can’t be beat. The grounds are great, and once this place is finished, I would say it would be the best place to stay. We are ‘old’ groupies from the heritage house days, but it has changed and not for the better. Mendo Bungalows will be the ‘ place to be’. ”

“If you are looking for one of the best views on the Mendocino coast, while seated on your own deck, surrounded by 3 acres of peace and quiet, look no further. The cottage is exactly as advertised. Simple, clean, nothing fancy but very comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics (2 burner cooktop - no stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave) and nice touches such as three different kinds of coffee makers & coffee beans/grinder. You can cook basic meals and don't forget, fabulous restaurants/cafes are...

“Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend for a girls trip and the home is awesome! Awesome ocean views from the living room and bedroom upstairs. The garden is the star of the show! Beautiful flowers and succulents and even an ocean view from the backyard. A beautiful spot to have a glass of wine or coffee. We had an issue with the breakers in the home and it was quickly rectified. We will be back for sure!”

Its location above a beach (within walking distance) and in Mendocino village can't be beat. We loved the beach, the headlands, and exploring the village plus other nearby attractions. Don't miss Santosha Yoga/Massage, either! Highly recommended.”

“House was beautiful.The only issue was dealing with the management Vacasa. Their website says to contact them for late check out and got a “No.” Also said to call for an additional dog but again said “No.” I don’t understand why they say call but basically don’t bother because it’s going to be “No.””

“Surfood Getaway was perfectly located minutes from downtown Mendocino and close to lots of hiking. The house was clean and decorated well. Lots of parking and 4 rooms for a big family. We enjoyed cooking and watching movies on the big screen TV. Kitchen items need an upgrade. There's only one frying pan and it is well used and icky. Only one hot mitt that is so thin you burn your hands pulling things from the oven. No cutting board. Neighbors dogs are almost always outside and they bark...

“We loved the house! Upon entering, the first thing that came to my mind was "WOW, what a steal!" Picturesque views and the proximity to town made our vacation so enjoyable! Loved the little path down to the beach, definitely wish we had done that more. Just a few downsides though. The bed wasn't that comfortable for us, but that's just a preference for a firmer bed. Also the "paperwork" was a bit much and a little annoying. Other than that, we had a very good time and highly recommend this...
