“This is a very clean and cozy independent motel in a quiet part of Santa Clarita. You will hear trains going by from time to time, but it’s not constant. The parking lot holds 1-2 cars per room. The front desk manager was very cheerful and helpful, even with my late check in after a day at Magic Mountain. “This property is very close to great cafes and unique shops. The price was reasonable. Our room was a bit small but clean and the beds comfortable. Parking was free which is a big bonus in LA. We had everything we needed and were helped by the manager to rent a downstairs room as we are Golden Oldies and have a bit of trouble on stairs. I was even surprised at how quiet it was for being on Hollywood Way. It would be nice if the front window opened more than a couple of inches, but they might……

“Soda machine is cash only, ice machine was out of order and I highly suggest bringing your own shampoo, soap, etc. As far as the actual room goes, we had 4 adults in a double queen room and there was plenty of space for us. TV, AC and mini fridge all worked. The shutters over the windows did a great job of keeping it dark in the morning and cooler throughout the day. Much better than the curtains at other hotels/motels.
