"We had a pleasant stay. The grounds was beautiful. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. We stayed in the west wing section with a view to the garden. The rooms are not large in size with a double bed. It's a simple, no-frills place with basic amenities, but it delivered exactly what we expected. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection to start the day, with a buffet style continental breakfast and a cooked meal also available on demand. The overall experience was great value for money for a unique experience. One thing worth noting for international travellers is that air conditioning isn't a standard amenity in many UK hotels, so it's always worth checking before you book if that's important to you. A fan would have been appreciated during the warmer weather, which may have been available on request. We didn't bother. Also, don't assume there will be a bar fridge in the room, as refrigerators are not commonly provided either. Overall, if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable place to stay without the extras, this is a solid choice."

"Room was decorated lovely and location were beautiful, staff were very friendly and helpful, outside tables and chairs could’ve done with a bit of a clean and would’ve been good to have some glasses & cutlery but apart from that the stay was perfect. I would recommend staying in the cottage to anyone!"

"I loved being here and plan to go back soon. It's idyllic. Beautifully kept and presented; with very kind and professional staff. I didnt know what time the event I was attending nearby would end; and as soon as I came back they brought me a wonderful platter of fish and much more. Saying theyd rather I had it prepared freshly than keep it waiting. Beside a river, in glorious, quiet countryside with the dramatic fells above; I can't wait to stay longer and explore the area. Can't recommend highly enough."

"First time staying at the green dragon and definitely won’t be the last. The room was lovely, well furnished and really clean. The staff were all really friendly and the food was delicious and very well priced. The tv in the room was modern and huge and had all of the streaming stuff on it. Saved me having to take a fire stick or anything which I appreciated. In the morning we walked the trail to see the beautiful hardraw force waterfall which is part of their site and it was a beautiful end to a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone. The only thing I would add is the car park is slightly small (but free) and if it’s full you have to park on the road. Wouldn’t put me off at all. It’s a brilliant place."
