“Overall, excellent. We stayed 2 nights in winter. Roads were clear. A few other homes in sight but strong sense of privacy. Heating and cooking were good. Good tmobile data reception. Didnt try streaming. TV with DVD player and HDMI input. Driveway is between Bonnynook Rd intersection and american flag. Home is very clean and well equipped for your stay. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Top rating.”

“This is a recently renovated Gold Rush era hotel, very quaint and authentic. The rooms and bathrooms have been updated to modern standards which is nice, but have authentic period decor/antiques. The town is VERY small and cute, extremely quiet (in general) and a walkable historic self-guided tour. It makes a great base of operations for exploring the area. A couple of things to know: it is 3 story, but because of the age, there is no elevator (typical with Gold Rush era hotels). They have one……

“We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling. OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in. Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently. Our kids loved it. “We are usually a very active family but this trip we really enjoyed slowing it down and hanging around the house. They had a bunch of games, dvd, kids books. More than enough room and beds. It was hard to pick which rooms to stay in. Ha! Our family needed this and it was great get away. Town is not far and we feel in love with Nevada city. They had dog man books and my son was over the moon about that. Great stay highly recommended it. ”

“I have been coming up to GV with my family for nearly 35 years now. We've stayed at a variety of rentals and this is BY FAR the best we have ever stayed in. The creek is a godsend, we didnt have to drive 45 minutes to some place where the boys could play around in the water and experience the natural beauty of Grass Valley. “Cute and cozy property, perfect for my sister and I. It was close to the highways, a decent price, stayed cool during very hot weather, also very quiet. I was surprised at the size of the tiny kitchen but it had everything we needed. I wasn't expecting to walk through the front door into a bedroom but it worked out fine. We would stay again. ”

“Entire place was great, even in the August heat of 80 degrees, it was so nice to spend time down by the creek, a quick jump in and out of the water was plenty. We thought we'd go into town for meals, but ended up cooking and staying in–eating lunch at the creek and dinner up on the deck. Can't wait to visit again!”
