“Pool and hot tub needs to be clean”

“It was what I look for in a place to stay. Staff was great room was very clean and the continental was really good. It was everything I look for in a hotel. My husband and I just retired after 30 years. We worked at a State Resort Park in Ky. So we really look at how maintained and the cleanliness of the facilities. Continental breakfast was replenished. It just was a really good experience.”

“I would not recommend this hotel. The ceiling above the shower was coming down, the towel holder in the bathroom was falling off the wall, the new flooring didn’t reach behind the toilet, a picture was removed from above the bed but the metal clips were still hanging there. And the batteries died in the card device of our room door so our security cards wouldn’t work. It was a Sunday and maintenance doesn’t work on the weekends. The front desk had to use a makeshift wire and string to feed under……

“The staff was very friendly and helpful from the time I checked in. The room was clean and stocked with supplies. The breakfast looked good, and everything was fresh. Plenty of parking available.”

“Needed a last minute place to stay, and this was clean and quiet, with attentive staff, though poorly maintained (eg old furniture stored in the hallway, bathroom exhaust did not work). The room had a huge hot tub in the corner with a wall mirror. Fantastic location, easy drive to downtown Zion and Illinois Beach State Park.”

“The property was great. Our only complaint was our shower wasn’t clean. We were staying in a handicapped accessible room, the shower bench had a lot of mold under it and was very dirty. We didn’t need it to be down but couldn’t get it to lift to the wall, I thought maybe there was a latch so looked underneath for something to help/unhook and it was pretty bad. Otherwise the room was very clean and well equipped outside of the missing microwave but the front desk was eager to assist and……
