“Hotel was in a good location and room was nice. A couple of the fittings need attention and the cleaners did not replace “consumables”. It is a self checkout so can’t rate the stafff. Overall a good stay”

“Great place to stay. All staff were welcoming and friendly. Very dog friendly and comfortable. A few dog rules but nothing out of ordinary - Easy to abide by. Car park to rear. Bedroom was clean and well equipped. Bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast choice good. Presented well and very tasty. We also had a very good experience of restaurant meal in the evening. Some wall/ floor areas in the place were knocked and marked but its a bar/restaurant so some wear and tear is expected from customer……

“Beautiful hotel with no expense spared on recent fit out with great furnishings. Very comfortable hotel with fantastic staff who's attention to detail is fantastic. I mentioned at lunch that I was Coeliac and laster when we checked in to our room gluten free biscuits were placed on the tea tray. A small detail but I have never experianced this before in an hotel. The food in the restaurant is also first class. Unfortunately we were unable to return on Sunday for lunch as it was fully booked!”

“Great place to stay in heart of Christchurch, overlooking the cathedral. The renovations are beautiful, giving a relaxing, arty vibe in which to relax, with a high standard of decor. Staff are fantastic, very friendly whilst professional, and made all guests feel really welcome. Great welcome on arrival, friendly, pleasant and helpful. All seemed to enjoy working there! It could do with some sofas/easy chairs for guests to relax in apart from the bar, ‘cafe’, or restaurant areas, but this didn’t……

“Love this Hotel. The staff are always helpful and friendly. There is a wonderful relaxing ambience throughout. This was our second stay at The White Buck and won't be out last. Totally recommend to any one wanting a quiet relaxing stay in the New Forest.”

“The hotel facilities, the dining, the staff were all absolutely fine. The room, however, was on 2 levels with even a step down on entry. Awkward. It was situated at the front of the building over some sort of service room with a generator or boiler that emitted a constant drone all through the night. Occasionally it would cut out only to re-start a short while later. As a result we had very little sleep. The noise could be heard outside the building as well; and of course it carries more at……

“The room was perfect, lovely bathroom as well, however the hotel experienced a power outage overnight & therefore there was no hot water, lighting, no hot food for breakfast - and for whatever reason the toilets wouldn’t flush, which nobody seemed to realise. We had to pack the relative darkness looking for our belongings from the lights from our phones, and finding a way down the corridors in a huge sprawling hotel in the dark was quite tricky. I realise this is not exactly the hotels fault but……

“Good amenities - kettle, tea bags, milk. Clean and spacious room for a family. We were allocated to the lower floor facing the car park.”

“Spotless. Resupply of milk, cookies and other water! Food fabulous! Just a tad noisy it carries, with bar, restaurant all the one room, no carpet but in the summer I am sure with doors open that would soon be fixed.”
