The hotel is fantastic - it looks like it was refreshed very recently. Super comfortable bed, great linens, brand new bathroom, and the room is large enough for guests to be comfy. The area around the hotel is fine, but it is on the edge of the Tenderloin and thus has some addicted and unhoused community members milling about. I never felt unsafe myself, and I confidently walked to and from transit (8 minutes to Powell, 5 minutes to the Cable Car) including to find an Airport bus at 5 AM my last day. I'm not sure it would be fair to hold the hotel accountable for these urban issues, but it would be something for families to keep in mind. I will definitely stay again the next time I am back in gorgeous SF.

I stayed here for Pride weekend, and from the moment I arrived, it was a bad experience. There was no parking available, and the front of the hotel had a "no parking" sign. I pulled up to the side and asked if I could check in and get help with my bags. They said they would park my car but didn't mention there would be a $75 per day charge. Despite the lack of parking, the attendant was really rude and unhelpful. On Sunday, I left for an event around 1 PM, and when I returned at 6 PM, I noticed someone had been in my room even though I hadn't requested any service. This invasion of privacy is unacceptable. I will not be coming back.

The bathroom was quite peculiar. The toilet paper holder was positioned near the ground, and the ceiling shower faucet was so close to the wall that I could only use it by pressing my body against it. The shower curtain was so short that water spilled out no matter how careful I was. Despite the bathroom being large, there was no storage cabinet, so towels were crammed onto a small table under the basin, and extra toilet paper was awkwardly fitted into a gap. The amenities had a cheap coconut smell. It seemed like none of the hotel staff had ever used the bathroom themselves. Additionally, a variety of taxes ass/w San Francisco were added at checkout.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It’s next to quite an undesirable area so be careful but other than that the hotel was beautiful as were the rooms. On our first night we were just drifting off to sleep and I heard what I thought was someone trying to get into the room. I was alert immediately but thought wrong room they would go. Then I sat up as they were still struggling a lot with the door next thing just as I was getting out of bed the adjoining room door opened and there was a woman with some others in our room. I was like what the f**k! They said sorry and went back into their room. I called reception as I was now concerned how they had managed to get in. The lady on reception called their room then called me back saying it was a mistake they had just changed rooms (at midnight???) We just couldn’t sleep after that. Being that the area is a little dodgy looking obviously didn’t help but we now felt unsafe in the room. I went to reception at like 7am to complain the guy looked into it there must have been a record of some kind. My question was our side was not unlocked so how did they get in! He said he would wave resort fee (which is a fee that most people don’t agree with anyway) and get maintenance to look at the door. In short they said the door was fine and not to worry! Needless to say our next night we didn’t get much sleep either
