dont check in and whyPosted Aug 16, 2015
We just got married and This was our Honeymoon holiday for us. We planed months ahead. Arrived at hotel while under construction. Staff and correspondence Assured us that it would not inconvenient us in anyway. Unable to use elevators and water was cut off at least once daily in our five day stay. Told by staff that if we needed to use the bathroom that we should look at walking a 1 1/2 block to Starbucks and use their bathrooms. Water cloudy and unusable. Construction crew used elevators, over loaded elevator and got stuck. had to use steps up 5 flights daily. Dusty and uncomfortable. Would not have made reservations here, had we known they were in under construction. Our honnymoon was not what we had planned for. Never again. We're not slobs but we are not ever coming here again. Don't go!

Muy buena ubicación. El personal muy amable.Posted Aug 5, 2015

Old hotel nicely renovated.Posted Jul 29, 2015
Pros: Very clean and tidy.Good location near Union Square. Not overly expensive by San Francisco standards.
Cons: Nothing really. This hotel is not for people who want luxury or even high end facilties but it was fine for me.
Location: Close to Union Sqare with its shops etc.And Powell Stree where the cable car runs. Bart stops at Powell and the fare to airport is 8.65.
My room was small but clean and nicely furnished. Good central location.A bit noisy at night due to traffic and a large pub on the roof of an adjacent parking garage.

Great night's sleepPosted Jul 15, 2015
Our stay was very comfortable. We were greeted at checkin and given a map of the city with some coupons for places to go that we found very helpful. We were upgraded on our arrival and were pleased with our hardwood floors, large television with decent channels, and complimentary water and coffee with a fridge to keep a six pack cold. The bathroom was clean with decent water pressure and provided dispenser toiletries that smelled like the beach. I brought my own, but I used them since they were conveniently placed inside the shower. There was also a lotion dispenser and makeup removal wipes... I'm easily pleased by little thoughtful things. The bed was super comfy and if we had had room to bring it back to the east coast I would have bought their comforter. The only thing we would have preferred is having AC, although we realize it's not as common in SF. The fan did keep us cool along with keeping the windows open. We just thought, man, an AC would have been perfect to burrow under these huge comfy blankets!

Affordable downtown luxuryPosted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: The cozy, nicely decorated room
Cons: Less pushiness on the part of bellhop re: guided city tours
Location: Safe to walk in one direction, but not the other. Nearby were many stores and restaurants, notably Asian cuisine.
We were welcomed at the street when we arrived by shared shuttle. We loved the pineapple-accent cupcakes and water. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that the cab would cost less than the shared shuttle, when I inquired about airport transportation.

This hotel is in the middle of the Tenderloin.Posted Jul 4, 2015
It looks good on the Web but it's in the Tenderloin and not an area you want to be wandering around at night.

Cons: Better facilities.
No a/c, but not too bad in SF. I had a toilet loudly running all night. I mentioned it to the staff, but nothing changed. No plug in tub drain, so a bath after a long day was not an option. Good location, but so so hotel.

Bad Location, Great StaffPosted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Fantastic staff. Rooms are clean and orderly. Car was delivered promptly from the Valet.
Cons: The rooms are just so small, it feels almost claustrophobic! It's also a bit difficult to find the location.
Location: Union Square, plenty of places to go shopping, close by the wharf!
The hotel is located in an excellent section of the city. It's in the heart of the city, and there's plenty to walk to, including Union Square! That being said, it's not the cleanest, nicest, or friendliest part of the city at night, and the hotel bar/restaurant outside can be loud for people trying to get to sleep for a big tourist day tomorrow. The staff is kind and the prices are mostly fair, except for the awkwardly small rooms. There's not too much to do at this hotel: it's a place to sleep, and the biggest reason I'd recommend it is if you're a tourist who just wants to be centralized in the city. It can also be somewhat difficult to find the first time, as Geary is a busy street at night. It's good. It's not great, but it'll get the job done for a young couple on a budget!

Standard hotel, you get what you pay forPosted Jun 25, 2015
We had an average stay. The hotel was very basic. Although the room was very small, it was very clean. We didn't love the location. Good price for one night stay over in San Fran. I don't think we would stay again.
