"Quiet enjoyment"
The staff/owners paid attention to every detail, and were so accommodating down to the smallest detail. Our return flight to the US required us to leave at 5AM. The staff arranged the night before for a taxi to be at the door and also prepared a breakfast basket for us.

"We keep returning"
Staying at San Gallo Palace is like visiting family. We just returned from from a week's stay (our 5th or 6th) at San Gallo Palace. The staff are like old friends, always thoughtful and polite. Georgia, Jetmir, Linda, Luca, Paola at the front desk and George and Lilly at the bar (we miss Ezzat) are a pleasure to know and could not be more helpful. They help us with recommendations, reservations, transportation, whatever. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk to town, a little further out than some of the others, but the rates are very reasonable and we're so comfortable at the San Gallo, we just keep going back. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Free breakfast and WIFI. Overall, hotel is an excellent value with a wonderful staff. We're already looking forward to our next trip back.

"Exceeded expectations "
This hotel has many positive attributes that make it a wonderful place to stay in Florence. Our room was very clean and quiet. Beautiful furniture and great closet space above average linens. What made the room really special was the balcony and views, being able to open the doors for fresh air in the evenings. But, you can find nice rooms in a lot of hotels The real difference was the hotel front desk staff, all of whom were always friendly and with welcoming smiles They assisted me on my arrival with a personal matter, when they really did not have to. The breakfast was a good start to the day and the staff in attendance did a great job .I don't think you would be disappointed if you stay at this hotel , in historical and beautiful Florence.

"Would go back in a heartbeat!"
We loved our stay here and will recommend and/or return. Fantastic location, easy access to all sites, shops, markets, bus station. Loved the boutiques aspect of it - nooks and crannies, filled with art, books, sitting areas, parlors, the rooftop garden an added bonus with fantastic views. The price was great, the staff wonderful, especially our Scottish concierge - Shawna who helped us navigate and offered recommendations for restaurants. Breakfast was lovely every morning with something for everyone. The "honesty" bar was a nice touch, even though we did not partake. Overall a fantastic place

"Friendly little hotel - somewhat out of centre."
Friendly reception staff, and nicely furnished rooms. Room was really small. Location was in a quiet neighbourhood - 15 minutes brisk walk to centre of town. Roof terrace pleasant - although somewhat different from the airbrushed pictures...
