This is a first class property in nearly every way. The staff were very nice and helpful, the location across from the beach was unbeatable and the facilities were very well maintained, both in and out of the actual rooms. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. There was a lovely little balcony and, although mine overlooked a parking lot, it was still nice to be able to throw open a door and have a place to sit in what turned out to be lovely weather during my visit.
The sort of "classical" style of the place may not be to everyone's taste, but you can't fault it for this. The clientele seemed a bit older, so it seems to fit with a stereotypical idea of what that age group might consider upscale.
My only true minor ding on this hotel is that, while it's a beautiful location, one has to walk over to the Hilton across the way to get simple snacks/food. There's no vending machine, only the restaurant, which, again, is fine, but pretty limited in scope e.g. no bag of chips or other snacks. They do provide to go and room service, though, so that's a plus. This omission seems very odd given that the rest of the property is so nice. It seems like it wouldn't be that hard to setup a little some small space at the front desk.
But, again, this is minor. The place is a lovely place and the Hilton is less than a 5 min walk away.
