This Cozy Saugerties retreat is ideal for a family or couples’ escape. This charming 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom A-Frame home sits secluded on a wooded, 1-acre lot with wonderful views of the Catskills Mountains.

Boasting a massive 24’ x 16’ outdoor deck, you can enjoy your morning coffee or nighttime star gazing. This rustic home also provides a fully equipped kitchen stocked with cookware, flatware, utensils & spices! Plus amenities such as Free Wi-Fi, 3 SmartTVs and an outdoor gas BBQ grill AND a Propane Fire Pit…. All making this the place to be for your next retreat year round. (AC & Heat)

Located less than a quarter-mile from #Opus40. This amazing Stone Sculpture Park hosts several art and musical events throughout the year and is the perfect place for an afternoon excursion.
A short drive into the Town of Saugerties, gives you a wide variety of places to shop and explore. There are many new Cafes and restaurants where you can grab a bite.
You’re also just a 10 minute drive to Woodstock too!

As a friendly reminder…. You’re gonna be in the country. There are critters. That's part of the beauty of why you're visiting right? So, if you're going to roll around in the leaves or grass… walking in the woods and being out in the yard, then I highly recommend you take off your clothes put them in the dryer and run for 20 minutes, and then do the Hudson Valley / Saugerties foreplay, check each other all over !

Driving through the Catskills and taking in the incredible mountain scenery can be breathtaking. Whether you’re stopping at a local farm stand, hiking through the woods or taking long walks, returning home for snacks or cocktails is your reward.
Relaxing and enjoying some peace and quiet on the deck as the sun sets over the mountains will certainly put you in an “A-Frame of Mind”

Gladly and strongly I recommend this rental
Pictures can fool anyone but as my son and I entered this property on our first day, he raised his hand with a genuine smile of joy, uttering that in renting this house, I made a very good choice. He was visiting me from Germany for his birthday, and I wanted to spend some days away from NYC, in quiet, conversation, and cooking. Being there for five days provided for us a wonderful framework to spend time together, and the house is as inviting as the pictures suggest. Our only criticism is a constructive one: such a wonderful place should not be without some writing utensils, and a couple of note pads or paper. Otherwise, the amenities, the attention to detail for comfort, and the surrounding tranquility truly contributed to a satisfying stay. Thank you, Nick!

Perfect Place to Relax After a Day of Hiking
The house is secluded and peaceful with a huge deck for a cool breeze with morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. The house was spotless and well equipped with anything you could possibly need. Restaurants, grocery, and Katterskill Falls for hiking all within a 15-20 minute drive. Our host, Nick, was very attentive making sure everything was as we expected ( and it was). Would stay here again if the opportunity arises. I highly recommend this property for your vacation getaway.

It was perfect.
The accommodations were excellent. We were a couple, but the house would be great for two couples. We loved the setting! The host has thought of everything, and the place is equipped to the max. Just bring yourself! Perfect location to explore the area.

Wonderful cabin in the woods
Close to the mountains for skiing, miles and miles of hiking and x-country skiing trails, less than 10 minutes from Levon Helms studio for amazing music and eclectic adventures in Woodstock. Owner was spot on and friendly with communication, home was clean and welcoming. Would definitely stay again when in the area!

Can’t wait to return!
I wish I was still there as I write these accolades for both the house and for Nick! The pictures do not do justice. The house captured the rustic feel that I wanted with the comfort of modern amenities. It was perfect. The grounds were expansive enough to provide privacy- and safety. The location was perfect- 15 minutes away from Woodstock, which allowed the feel of your own private hideaway and the convenience of being close to the center (and other attractions, as well). Nick was a gracious host- both before our arrival and during our stay. He was always accessible, and essential. During a storm there was a widespread power outage. Nick contacted us and remained in constant contact with the electric company to provide us with updates. (It did not last long and provided an unneeded excuse to stay inside the cozy cabin with the rain outside.) Nick most definitely contributed to the reason we are already talking about coming back in the Fall!

Cozy Chalet in a great location
Nick was extremely helpful, easy to get a hold of, and made check in a breeze. Cozy, quiet, relaxing house with great views. The location was also very convenient for exploring Woodstock (less than 10 min drive) and the surrounding area.

Away from it all while being nearby to everything
Our stay here was so quiet and peaceful; it felt like we were miles from civilization. Yet it’s nearby to everything with a short drive. Host is super responsive and very thoughtful; a lot of care went into setting up the cabin for the people staying there. Wifi was strong the whole stay. Highly recommend!!!!

A lovely, quiet getaway!
My eldest sister and I went to visit our sister who lives in Red Hook. This was the PERFECT location on so many levels. The home was clean, well stocked with every amenity we could think of, and plenty of room for the two of us. In addition to the essentials, there were fun additions like board games, binoculars for critter watching, and two beautiful decks to relax on. Nick couldn't have been a better host! Completely communicative, accommodating, and friendly, he made sure we were taken care of on every level. We will be back!

Just what we wanted
Just what we were looking for. Wanted to getaway from the city and enjoy some outdoors and this was perfect. Host was very polite and seemed to actually care about wanting to provide us with what we needed to enjoy ourselves. Contact was always quick and informative. During our stay we had no reason to get into contact because we had everything we needed, however I'm confident the host would have been helpful if anything questions or concerns happened during out stay. Good Vibes Catskill Foothills Getaway
We absolutely loved staying in this charming A-frame. When you walk in, it's just like the photos: huge picture windows, high ceilings, spacious deck, and inviting furniture. The home feels thoughtfully decorated and equipped for out-of-town visitors. It's rustic but comfortable, and hard to leave behind when it's time to go! There is room for refinement: the indoor stairs creak, shower heads lack a handheld, water is a little choppy/light. Dishes needed to be rinsed before use. No microwave. But there were also generous surprises, like K-cups, nice toilet paper, hotel toiletries, and plenty of TV/music stations (you can also run your own Apple TV). The upstairs bedroom was a private treetop paradise, with sun dapples and a comfy bed. The house is about halfway between Woodstock and Saugerties. The nice owner Nick responded immediately to messages. Coffee on the deck with crisp mountain air, cool little downtown Saugerties, the drop-dead gorgeous drive to the Mt Tremper area (sigh) ... I miss it already.

The home was great, exactly as we expected and described in the listing. It had a great kitchen set up with everything we needed to cook and the grill + outdoor deck was wonderful as well! The only issue we had was with a few too many ants all throughout the home. Nick was very responsive and very accommodating though! Great place for easy access to the Catskills/Woodstock!

Perfect little getaway!
Nothing but good things to say about our stay! The house and property were beautiful and all very clean and comes ready with everything you need to feel at home right away. Nick was beyond accommodating and available whenever needed. Highly recommend booking a few days whenever you get the chance. Our only complaint was that we couldn’t stay longer and definitely look forward to going back in the future!

The owner was very responsive and accommodating. The house was immaculate and well appointed. One caveat I have is after the cleaning fee and tax the price of the stay is double. Another cost which I’ve never encountered was I had to either buy insurance for $99 or put a $5000 deposit down. This is unreasonable in my opinion especially for short stays. I opted for the $5000 deposit then had to pursue its refund as Vrbo didn’t want to return it until the end of the month, about 3 weeks after my stay. I ended up incurring a large finance charge from my credit card. So, all in all, my stay ended up being exorbitantly expensive.

Wonderful wooded retreat!
Such a lovely place! Nick had everything you needed to enjoy yourself (whether you were staying in to cook or to relax and enjoy watching the natural world around you). You were also close to so many places and things to do as well, it’s such a great location. Thanks for a fantastic place to spend my time unwinding from the world!
