“The location is great in Uig and have a great view of the harbour . Its worth for the price. Check in at the Uig hotel just nearby, very close. However the dinner of the restaurant of the Uig hotel is not good. Not recommended to have meals there.”

“Brae Lea is far more than one would expect. The location is a short walk to the Ferry Terminal at Lochboisdale - yet driving from the north, you feel as if you’re nestled in the foothills of a mountain (because you are). Rupert is an outstanding host, and he doubles as a 5-Star concierge. He helped us sort travel and touring arrangements as well as made breakfast and suggested dinner options. The Brae Lea accommodations are also top drawer. Clean - efficient - spacious - inviting. Full marks……

“This accommodation is very remote. But really nice. The rooms are large and clean with nice en-suite facilities and the dining room - in an extended sun room - is spacious and comfortable. Very well run by a lovely couple we enjoyed our stay. Take dinner here - it’s very good value and enjoyable.”

“Although I paid for a room with a panoramic view, I was given the choice of two rooms (4 and 6) which had neither; room 4 had an unmade bed, so I took 6. The room was quiet, secure, and clean, facing the backyard of an adjoining property. I recommend not paying for the room with the panoramic view, since none of the windows on the building face toward the harbor or the island of Bressay. Breakfast was plentiful, but there was not a cooked breakfast option; options included yogurt, cereal, toast,……

“Nice, simple, clean room in Benbecula, South Uist. The innkeeper was very welcoming and friendly. There is a nice hotel restaurant a short walk away from the Hebridian Stay. We would stay here again the next time we visit south/north Uist.”

“The host was very friendly and helpful. She served a good breakfast in the morning at our chosen time. The place is not found easily and needs an entrance sign. Overall I would stay there again.”
