"Great hotel resort in the middle of everything"
We LOVED the lady at the front desk who helped us with everything - including where to go in Sedona. The resort was awesome and in the middle of it all - yet it felt private. So many amenities (mini-golf, tennis, bocce, horseshoes, lawn chess, spa, pools, sauna, hot tub, fitness center, yoga classes, grills, and more) and it sits on the creek with beautiful park like area! Also, it had delicious restaurants. We will definitely go back. Only negatives - room was supposed to be a king and was a queen, but considering the location of the room = fair trade (Also, we arrived early and I think the assigned wasn't ready). There were a couple of ants in the bathroom, but room and bath were clean. Concierge offers promo to sit through timeshare - personally suggest passing or be willing to give 3-4 hours (NOT 90 min).

Convenient to downtown Sedona, restaurant choices and walking path to Red Rock Formations right in back of hotel. Red's restaurant was very good. Ate breakfast and dinner there. Hotel staff was pleasant and helpful.

"Great stay a few miles outside Sedona. "
Great hotel overall. Staff was very friendly. Ms. Jessica was a Chicago hottie. Cliental was mostly an older crowd and hotel was a few miles from downtown area. Definitely need a car to get around. Plenty of pools and fire pits as well as a great fitness center.

"Great pet friendly resort option"
The location is right in the middle of town, which is handy for being able to walk to things, but can make it a bit of a hassle to get in/out while you are there due to traffic right in front of the entry road on weekends. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, and made our stay really nice. They are a very pet friendly hotel, and as a result you see a lot of people staying there with their dogs. The spa facilities are quite minimal, but the massage therapists we had were quite good. The restaurant is good, although there is only one on the property, so you get tired of the menu if you are staying for several days. That said, there are other good dining options in town, and the shuttle at Amara makes it easy to get around. Overall, this is a very good choice, and offers very good customer service with basic resort amenities in a beautiful creekside location, and at a fair price. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel! Spacious, 2 sinks which was nice. One in the bathroom and another out side of bathroom. Close to hiking and downtown area. Room was clean except for a stain on chair that made me decide not to sit there, otherwise, it was quiet, retsturant was good and we were giving a nice room with a mountain view just by asking if they had one available.

"Very nice hotel and convenient location."
After spending a lot of $ for our hotel room, I forgot something in my room. THEY CHARGED ME TO SEND IT BACK! I thought that was outrageous. Everything was well organized, clean, neat and comfy. Breakfasts were excellent with many options to choose from. Lots of nearby restaurants & shopping.

"Very comfortable, excellent value in West Sedona"
I am so glad I booked this hotel. All the staff were super nice and really cared about how we were enjoying our stay in Sedona. This is not a small Inn and the pictures don't do it justice. Everything is so well maintained, manicured and clean. It can hold its own to the big name properties. The room was so comfortable and quiet. The bathroom was huge and the linens were perfect. They are really proud of their breakfast and with reason. The coffee however needs to be dramatically improved. We will definitely come back to stay with them again. 2 nights in Sedona is just not enough!

Best and Worst Times to Visit Sedona

Spring is one of the best times to visit Sedona. Between March and May, the temperatures range between the 60s and 80s F, and the desert flowers are in full bloom. However, because this is one of the most pleasant times of year to rendezvous in the city, rates tend to be higher. Fall is another popular season to visit as the temperatures linger between 70 and 80 degrees F.

While the Sedona summer temperatures aren’t as high as they are in other areas of Arizona at this time, they do hover in the high 90s F for most of June, July, and August. As for the wintertime, temperatures drop to the 50s F, but the desert city doesn’t usually get any snowfall. If you don’t mind the cooler weather, visit during this season and you’ll score some of the lowest rates.

    Things to Do

During your jaunt to this scenic destination, explore the landscape and marvel at the natural land formations. If you’re the hiking type, check out of the many trails around town. Soak up the panoramic views of the red rocks on the Cathedral Rock Trail, or hike around Boynton Canyon to see Native American ruins. You may also hear about the vortexes while you’re in town, which are said to be energy that’s emitted from the rock formations. Join a tour or ask around for directions to some of the most famous ones in the area and experience the force for yourself.

While you’re in Sedona, check out some of the cultural attractions, too. Spend an afternoon browsing the shops, galleries, and restaurants in the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village. Exploring the Palatki Heritage Site is another popular thing to do in town. This area is home to the Hopi tribe cave dwellings that date back to the 12th and 13th century. Top off your getaway with a visit to the Sedona Heritage Museum before resting up at one of the best Sedona resorts.
