“On arrival the staff were very friendly and even upgraded our room. The room was clean and tidy, and very acceptable. Easily accessible to the old market town of Chipping Sodbury and the stunning village of Castle Combe which we did both. Enjoyed a late pint in the very good bar accompanied by some good 80’s music to help finish the day. Did not have breakfast as left swiftly for our ongoing journey to Wales. “I had a warm welcome and my case was taken up to my room. The room was large with king sized bed. All clean, dated, but that suited the age of hotel! There was a small table with kettle and a selection of tea, coffee etc. Large en-suite with large shower. Lots of choices on breakfast menu and cooked freshly. Parking was easy. Location was excellent. 5 minutes walk to Lacock Abbey. Lacock is a very small place but very interesting.”
