The Blue Moon Hotel provided me with a beautiful, comfortable room on a last minute booking. I had accompanied my father to Mt Sinai hospital in Miami Beach to receive an emergency catherization and have two arteries stented. We live in the Keys and there was no facility to perform the procedure. After a 4 hour ambulance ride from the Keys, you can imagine the stress and uncertainty that I was experiencing. An outpatient procedure turned into a 3 day stay in the hospital. As there was no place for me to sleep at the hospital, I began searching for a room in South Beach on a Friday night in the heart of season. To say that I was ecstatic about the accommodation is putting it mildly
The room was smallish but gorgeous . Located in the heart of South Beach, the location was fantastic and the staff and amenities were good enough to allow me to relax after 13 hours in the hospital. I will definitely be back with my wife, under better circumstances. Thank you Blue Moon for the relief you provided me.

"Great location near the beach/shopping, spacious!!"
Had a pleasant stay over the holidays! Location was surprisingly quiet on Espanola Way, right next to bustling restaurant area and just a stroll away from the beach and also shopping areas. Room was quite spacious, quite comfy and homey.

speak spanish.... really... around the corner down a half block is a conveniece store that is way cheap. great for cokes, and treats, Fabulous restaurants all along the blocks, but expensive. Save your real money and go to Joe's Stone Crab. Worth every dime and its expensive. Factor 25 dollars there and back for cab. still worth it. Eat two blocks behind Ocean Blvd on Washington. The chinese take out I spoke of is amazing. Front desk may give you the number if you can speak spanish, or spanish, or even spanish.... breakfast on the ocean blvd is average price, but good. great coffee. located two blocks from Versace Mansion if anyone remembers him. About everything in South beach is being restored, amazing. in 5 years you won't know it. great nightlife.. totally south american. study your map before you go, great trip, a little wierd with the hotel staff, but overall nice for the price even though I booked it though expedia. if they will not guarantee a balcony.. go somewhere else. Z Ocean is amazing. Great city, great food, nice rooms, amazing music, fun art, for the young, but if older, you will love the "view'.

The proximity to the beach is great, the room is comfortable, if small, but we had read that in reviews when selecting. The staff there are helpful and pointed us to a parking lot across the road which was a bout USD25 a day. Breakfast was included and was a good enough selection. I would go again.
