Enjoy all the comfort and and modern conveniences while you escape to unwind and rekindle connection with family, friends and nature.

You will love staying in the beautiful Red Cabin with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room and full kitchen with eating area. Several guests have referred to it as a "hidden gem" ...
There is even a beautiful claw-foot tub in the second bathroom. Pamper yourself!

Tesla Charger is free for guests to use during their stay.

There is a new kitchen island with 2 stools, and new kitchen table with 6 chairs.
New oven/stove and microwave. New refrigerator, dishwasher, sink and disposal.
All beds are super comfy, newly updated, including new linens and towels.

Enjoy relaxing in the spacious living room equipped with a gas fireplace (new 8/21), 55” smart TV and wireless internet.
Enjoy the wrap-around porch with rocking chairs and other chairs to bring out to the fire.
Peace and quiet to reconnect and renew.

Hike around the 300 wooded acres (but no hunting) on our private retreat.
A one mile trail to the private deck at the Lookout - you can see for dozens of miles!
Many trails are marked and maintained for you to explore.

See the bluffs and scenic overlook. Hike down to the hidden gorge.
The property has a security gate at the entrance to the driveway (1/3 mile long off the rural road). This is NOT a "gated community" ... this is a private retreat with your Red Cabin and the owners' cabin. The barndominium is not currently rented via VRBO.

The kitchen is fully equipped with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, dishes, glasses, towels, automatic drip coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, blender, dishwasher, stove/oven, refrigerator and microwave.

There is a full bath in the Master bedroom and a second bath for guests.
The centerpiece of the guest bath is the claw foot bathtub which adds a touch of luxury to your cabin stay.

Things To Do

Explore waterfalls, bike, golf, canoe, swim, paddle-board, or kayak at Fall Creek Falls State Park. (13 miles)

Go boating or birding at Rock Island State Park. Be sure to check out the Downstream Trail off Powerhouse Road for an amazing view of the waterfall! The town of Rock Island has a coffee and ice cream trolly, shops, antiques and a restaurant (Foglight Food House).

Hike Burgess Falls, Virgin Falls, Lost Creek and Welch's Point Scenic Overlook.

Horseback riding at Fall Creek Falls Riding Stables

Check out the caves at Cumberland Caverns.

Visit the shooting range at Dead Zero.

Visit shops in the local Mennonite community. During season (Spring-Nov) you will be able to purchase home-grown produce, farm-fresh eggs, breakfast sausage and baked goods.

Build a campfire and roast some marshmallows in fire circles right on the lawn.

The owners, Erin and Bill, live on the property in the green-roof cabin and are available to assist guests as needed.

Spencer has a new cafe for a quick bite and dessert, Crimson & Clover.

Perfect weekend getaway!
We enjoyed our weekend so much!! The cabin was perfect, very clean and everything we needed was there. Erin and Bill are the best hosts! They gave us the grand tour of their 300 acre property and checked on us during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. She even texted us from the grocery and asked if we needed anything!! How thoughtful is that!! Will definitely be back! Wonderful location for exploring FCF and Burgess Falls.

This is by far the best experience we've had! The accommodations and hospitality is simply world class. We were looking for a quite get away in the TN mountains and are grateful to have found this gem! The hosts made sure we had anything we needed and had a wealth of information of the area. We certainty surprised our friends with the beautiful cabin. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were stocked with everything we needed. Words can't express how beautiful the lookout is both during the day and at sunset. Don't miss out on this secluded, beautiful wooded retreat.

We can’t say enough about this property & the hosts. It is super clean, well-appointed, and inviting. Bed & furniture was comfortable, good lighting throughout, strong WiFi & the kitchen had everything needed. Appliances are new & the hosts did a fantastic job putting the house & property together. We had the pleasure of meeting hosts Bill & Erin and pride in their property is apparent & well-deserved. Location is remote but close enough to the state park & waterfalls. If you’re looking for a place to kick back, relax & not worry about much of anything, this property is it! We also appreciated that the property & house weren’t surrounded by cameras like many other VRBO locations. Thanks to our hosts for helping to make our 3-day get-away perfect.

Remarkable Retreat!!
Wonderful cabin in a great location with all of the amenities you could possibly need. Very well kept and updated as well as very clean. This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in! Fire pits are always a must for us and this one was awesome and spacious with a well lit path leading to it with comfortable seating as well. The owners Bill and Erin were very friendly and gracious hosts offering to give us a tour of the beautiful property. The one mile hiking trail through the woods to the deck that overlooks the mountains is easy with gentle slopes and very well worth the walk. Gorgeous view!! We will definitely be making a return visit in the near future. Thank you Bill and Erin for sharing such a wonderful place. Our stay was relaxing and much needed.

Wonderful Stay!
I will start out by saying that this rental was the cleanest VRBO that we have ever stayed in! The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay the wonderful!! The cabin had everything we needed and it was close proximity to several state parks which were beautiful! Erin and Bill treated us as if we were old friends. We felt extremely welcomed! They took us on a couple of UTV rides to familiarize us with the property and to allow us to experience a beautiful sunset!! One day, we never left the property and were able to hike 4 miles just walking on their trails! This was one of the most relaxing yet adventurous vacations we have had. I almost forget, we were able to be the first to try out their new and beautiful firepit! We do hope that we will be able to visit again sometime! I highly recommend this rental!!!

The property was gorgeous and well maintained. The owners are welcoming and kind. There is trail that leads to an overlook with stunning views .our cabin was perfectly clean tucked away among cool shady trees. Spencer Tn is gorgeous. Thank you Bill and Erin for our few days of rest!

Perfect getaway
The property was very clean and inviting. The property is very spacious and the property owners were very nice and give you free access to all of the surrounding property for hiking trails. We loved the wrap around porch and there were no shortage of seating inside or out. This cabin is set up and decorated the way you would do it yourself not just thrown together to make a rental property and we loved it. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a hot tub but aside from that it was a 10 out of 10. We will be staying here again next time

Terrific cabin in the forest
This lovely cabin is absolutely terrific. The surrounding forest is quiet and serene with paths to hike around the property. There is a beautiful porch with rocking chairs and a porch swing for relaxing outside. The cabin is very clean and all the furnishings are comfortable. We cooked several meals in the kitchen which had nice cookware and dishes. There are multiple parks and waterfalls within easy driving distance and on top of all that, the hostess was very nice.

Well, how does one leave a review for the most magical place you've ever stayed state side, without letting the secret of this place out? Dilemma isn't it? I've been in the hospitality (hotels and resorts) industry for 26 years. I've worked for all the major brands. When people like myself, who are unfairly critical of everything they notice after all the years in the hotel business, I assure you, I don't use the word perfection lightly. Everything about this cabin/rental shows a caring of ownership and caring for people that is the absolute gold standard in my world. Sadly, even the most expensive of the resorts still fail to reach this level. But here.....yes, that level is achieved.... and even exceeded for some :-) The private hiking trails are something to behold. There are many things to do in the area that are top of class in their categories also. Summary: perfect location perfect cleanliness perfect amenities perfect housewares perfect furniture perfect (new) beds perfect hosts don't tell anyone.

The Perfect Place to Relax
This property is everything that's listed and much more. Communication was prompt and always helpful. The cleanliness of the entire property and cabin was exceptionable, and the kitchen is nicely stocked with more than what the average host provides. Erin and Bill live very close, so it's a great place for a single person to get away in nature without worrying about safety. If you're given the opportunity to view the overlook, don't miss it! We saw deer, turkey and 2 owls. We plan to return in the fall with more time to enjoy nature.

We were visiting the state parks in the area. Lovely cabin! It’s a very peaceful area. Cabin was nice and clean. Had everything you needed and then some. Had a few trails to hike too. Erin was very accommodating! If visiting the are again would definitely stay again!

Beautiful Cabin
We thoroughly enjoyed our short weekend stay in this cabin. We found it to be immaculately clean and very cozy. In fact, of the places we have stayed through VRBO, this was the cleanest. Everything you need is in the cabin from the kitchen to the bathrooms. You need only bring your toiletries, clothes and any food you would like. My husband and I did a quick walk on one of the marked trails which led to a gorgeous bluff. It happened to start raining by then or we would have stayed for a while and hiked around the property further. We look forward to booking again in warmer weather however I would not hesitate to come back in the winter once more! We even discussed bringing our children next time as they would love it. The owners were very kind and easy to communicate with. We had zero issues during our stay. If you are considering this property, do yourself a favor... stop looking and book it :)

A Perfect, Private Getaway
The property is stunning! The photos don’t do it justice. Stepping inside felt like everything was freshly renovated ~ not to mention the cabin itself is situated in an amazing plot of land which the owners very kindly offer a tour of. Within a quick drive are tons of fun options to pass the day from hiking trails to horseback riding. Will definitely stay again!

An amazing & beautiful time!
We were blessed to be able to enjoy the fall colors on this BEAUTIFUL property. The cabin was 'top-notch'...nothing was spared in making sure it was nice! The owners were available to help, but they also gave us complete privacy to enjoy our time together. We took the mile long hike, both up and back on the trail, to see the view from the bluffs! (It was WELL WORTH the tired body of this older age....because the view at the top was GORGEOUS!). The cabin was very well stocked & we had all we needed. The beds were very comfy and that bathrooms nice! It was a BEAUTIFUL stay and we are already thinking about next year...hoping it will work out so we can stay there again!!

Wonderful getaway
We absolutely loved this cabin!! Its cozy and spacious at the same time and the kitchen was fantastic! The setting is so relaxing and peaceful and we especially enjoyed hiking on the property. There’s a beautiful overlook that’s a must see. The hosts, Bill and Erin were so friendly and answered any questions. Beautifully decorated cabin with everything we needed for a wonderful getaway and an easy drive to Fall Creek Falls and Rock Island State Park. We definitely plan on staying here again!!
