It enjoys a privileged location with a very nice panoramic view of the old town of Split, the islands of Brač, Šolta and Hvar which are just opposite and the small harbor with its fishing boats just below. The apartment has been completely renovated while keeping the charm of the old with great benefits and high ceilings. It consists : \- a beautifully furnished living room with a large opening onto a balcony from where you can admire the view, \- a parental suite always sea side with a large bathroom (a beautiful shower, a large sink and toilet). This suite has a "king size" bed in 180cm, a console, a large wardrobe with a wardrobe and a flat screen TV, \- courtyard side, giving onto a large balcony, a second unit composed of a living room with a sofa bed (160 / 200cm bed) for two, a wardrobe and a flat screen TV, a separate bedroom with a 160cm bed, with wardrobe and wardrobe, which also has access to the balcony. A second bathroom with walk-in shower, sink and toilet, \- a small fully equipped kitchen (large fridge-freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee machine dulce, and a full service for 6 to 8 people), \- a small laundry room with washing machine drying. The apartment has free wifi internet access. Trumbičeva obala, where the building is located, is one of the few roads accessible by car in the historical center of Split very close to Diocletian's Palace. Some paid parking spaces are in the street in front of the building, and covered pay parking is located 150m in the same lane. The building is close to many restaurants and bars of the Riva (promenade). There is also a mini market at the foot of the building and a bakery 50 meters away. Beautiful views of the port. Easy walk into the old city. Many good restaurants right nearby, and a small grocery next door - so convenient! Just be aware that a 2nd floor apartment means something different in Croatia - there were more flights of stairs than we were expecting and getting our luggage up to the flat was taxing to say the least. However, it was all worth it for being able to stay in such a well-updated, well-equipped, and beautifully laid out apartment. Communication with the host was top-notch, too!! It was clean when we arrived. There's a lot of space with 2 separate living rooms, 2 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is small, but well stocked.There are also some areas for improvement. The apartment doesn't seem well maintained. The bathroom door drags on the ground, the trash can was broken, the door to the balcony wouldn't open properly, there was no light in the messy laundry room, the washer/dryer had mold in the soap compartment, and a few other things that could be easily fixed.The one issue that bothered me most was the lack of communication from the host. I asked for instructions to find and enter the apartment a week before we arrived since I wanted to document all of the details before leaving on our trip. The host didn't send the info. The day before we arrived, I still hadn't heard from him, so I emailed and texted again. I worried that we would not hear from him and would have to scramble to find somewhere else to stay. Less than 24 hours before check in, the host finally provided us with instructions to check in. Also, the building does not seem secure. There is a generic code to enter the main entryway that is shared with many other apartments. There is another code to enter the apartment, but I doubt it is changed often, or ever. The 69 steps up to the flat were a bit of a surprise, but the views and access to the promenade activities, eateries, bars and grocery shops were terrific. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment was spacious except for the compact and efficient kitchen. For new guests, It would help to have a diagram of how to find the flat once inside the building, as well as a resource manual for appliances and recommended activities/ eateries. Communication with host prior to check in was satisfactory as response time was not a concern and check out was very easy. Walk to local restaurants. Apartment was spacious, clean, well-equipped, reliable wi-fi. Owner communicated immediately to answer questions. Local representative met us on arrival and was available for any help. Apartment is on 2nd floor with no elevator so it's a bit of a climb. Beautiful and comfortable apartment in a great location! We loved our stay here. The rooms were spacious with high ceilings and large beds. Air conditioning worked well and was appreciated after a hot day. Small kitchen with everything you need. We did have a lot of trouble figuring out how to operate the washer and dryer. Maybe have simple instructions on how to operate a basic load. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the boardwalk and people.
