“The room was pretty cold on arrival, but soon worked out how to get the heating on.Staff were very helpful and managed to sort out my booking, that Expedia failed to notify the hotel, so they were not expecting me.The room was aa bit outdated,and not very soundproof, the 7 lane bypass was very noisy during the night,even with the window closed.”

“I stayed at the Midland because I had a hospital appointment the following morning.
The rooms were adequate but basic. I wasn't impressed with the receptionist, I felt she was rather cold. Around 8pm I went to reception and asked the same young lady for a couple of extra pillows ( there was only one on the bed) she said she would send some up, they never arrived. There wasn't any information on the telephone to be able to ring reception.”
