5 Minute Stroll To Beach!! Newly Renovated And Listed. Professionally Decorated

Welcome to your clean, cozy, comfortable home away from home. This very special place was renovated and designed with details in mind. As you enter the abode, the lightness and attention to detail is obvious. The furnishings are all brand new and designed to be enjoyed.
The kitchen is well equipped and also has upgrade stainless appliances and beautiful quartz counter tops. There is a desk area with USB outlets right off the kitchen. The bedrooms are outfitted with brand new memory foam mattresses. Beside each bed is a USB outlet for cell phone charging.
There is a fabulous outdoor shower right off the side kitchen door. It does have hot and cold water. Also on the side is a gas grill and outdoor eating area. The beach is just a short stroll down a shady side street. Very easy walk even with children. There are 5 restaurants within easy walking distance.

Back in Paradise

This property is beautifully decorated and has everything you need for an awesome stay on SSI. The little things that you forget from home are provided and comes with great outdoor area to enjoy as well.

Golf get away

Wonderful 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage near the Sea Island golf courses but also blocks from the beautiful beach. Walking distance to great food and drink. Melanie made everything easy even personalized entry code to get make it easy to remember. WellFurniahed and very clean. Will recommend to any headed this way

St. Simon’s Experience

Labor Day getaway

Wonderful location, walking distance to the best the island has to offer. Very clean, well furnished and decorated. Truly felt like we were staying in a beach house. The owner was exceptionally receptive to questions (best food, things to do, etc.) and response to our every need. Great place to stay for those looking to experience the island by just walking out the front door!

Great cottage!

Stayed here for a long weekend. So clean upon our arrival, great location (5 min stroll to beach is accurate, restaurants/shopping close by, check-in/check-out was a breeze). Sisters trip

I am a seasoned traveler who has stayed from high end resorts abroad to accommodations like VRBO. This place will be our choice next year for the annual trip to SSI. The home was perfect - clean, comfy, and convenient. We highly recommend to anyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Perfect location and neat as a pin

Located steps from beach access and Crabdaddy’s (our favorite) we can’t recommend this updated property more strongly. Perfect for two adults and two children, the house is well equipped. Cable televisions, WiFi, washer/dryer, new appliances and even a beach tent and chairs are available for use. Everything is ONE level, from parking to living quarters. We will be back!

Fantastic

We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our long weekend stay at this perfect duplex cottage! The owner has thought of everything! House is stocked with all the necessities including a full gas tank for grilling! Just a short leisurely stroll to the beach. The swing was heavenly in the evening. Restaurants and market a stones throw from the rental. We will certainly be returning soon!

Perfect Getaway Spot!

This is a beautiful, completely updated property. Everything was as described and pictured -- only better! Sparkling clean featuring beach decor and a perfect kitchen, stainless steel appliances, plus a washer and dryer. Walk a block to the beach. Walk to nearby restaurants. Short distance to the center of town. We were so happy to have Melanie's list of restaurants - Palmer Cafe is a classic for breakfast. We had a wonderful dinner at Tramici and a great lunch at Mullet Bay. We enjoyed every minute of our visit and believe we found the perfect location. We don't believe we could do better for amenities and location. We had a lovely day of golf at Sea Island Golf Club - so beautiful. One of our favorite historic strolls is through Fort Frederica, a national monument and one of the few British settlements to explore and imagine. Highly recommend as a couples getaway!

Clean, convenient comfort

We loved renting this beach cottage for spring break last week. The house was very convenient to the beach (short walk), steps from restaurants (lunch cafe, Crab Trap, Crab Daddy's, BBQ) and it was recently renovated. It's adorable, nicely decorated with brand new appliances including a washer and dryer. We also enjoyed using the outdoor grill to cook dinner one night. After the beach the outdoor shower (with cold & hot water) was great to rinse sand off. The house was the perfect size for a family of four. It is a duplex but we never heard a peep from the other renter. The house was very quiet inside. There is room to park two cars and room to park bikes in the back of the house. My only suggestion would be to add a mirror in the master bedroom. If someone is using the bathroom the only mirror available is in the twin bed room. Great and responsive customer service. I would recommend this house to family and friends.

Perfect Stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay! Nicely decorated and super clean and we couldn't believe just how close to restaurants that it truly is. While it sits in town, it's also in a quiet neighborhood. This unit is part of a duplex but we never heard the family on the other side. Parking sits in front of the home so you don't have to worry about getting a spot. The beach is two(ish) blocks down a quaint neighborhood street. We'll get a golf cart or bring a wagon next time because it was a bit far to walk back and forth with our hands and arms full. The hose at the house was helpful to clean off our sandy feet when we got back. We didn't use the outdoor shower but there is one available. Lots of people riding bikes around giving the whole town a whimsical feel. We can't wait to come back and stay longer!

Steps away from a little piece of heaven....

Well designed piece of property provided a comfortable, safe, and esthetic enjoyment. I actually inquired if the owner had done the deocrating and redesign because it was so well done. We walked to the beach for sunrise and then walked the beach every morning...delightful. Although the street is busy, we never 'heard' the traffic or noticed it once inside. Walking distance to two restaurants some shoppes, beach and if you are a walker to the pier where shopping is. Exploring St Simon's Island was delightful to us. The added bonus was the proximity to Jekyl Island which truly is so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes as we crossed the bridge. The owner of this property is a delight to work with, friendly, not overbearing, easy to work with and a joy. We highly recommend staying here, it is the BEST VRBO we have ever rented and, at a time, when we were growing weary of the entire VRBO concept and disappointment of services...We do wish that this concept did not have such an adverse impact on affordable housing... Again, this property kept my husband and I each well relaxed and gave us such ease of getting everywhere....Thank You.

Great Beach Rental

We stayed here to attend our week-long family reunion close by. This is the second time we have stayed here. It is very convenient to the beach as well as several restaurants which are a 2 minute walk away. The unit is very comfortable. We had one minor glitch which the owners addressed promptly. We would easily stay here again.

Winter Getaway

My husband and I stayed at Tidewater (both sides) for 5 weeks to escape Canadian winter. What a gem of a property! It is comfortable, functional, quiet, well-located and beautifully decorated. Melanie and Ed are wonderful hosts; incredibly responsive and available at a moment's notice to deal with any questions or concerns. A few things really stood out for us. The space is perfect for a long stay with modern appliances, lots of pots/pans, dishes, glassware, etc., great storage, modern bathrooms, a wonderful open and bright living/eating area and incredibly comfortable beds. Despite being on a major street, it's very quiet, day and night. And the location is fabulous! It's an easy walk to Pier Village (20 minutes), there are lots of amenities (shops, a resort, restaurants, yoga studio, etc) a stone's throw from the property and the beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. We absolutely loved our stay and plan to return.
