Very clean and newly refurbished.

This hotel has absolutely massive rooms by today's standards and shares all amenities with the much more expensive Williamsburg Inn and Williamsburg lodge. The tradeoffs are that you will not have a front desk and the furniture and finishes are much older. The reality, however, is that the tradeoffs are 100% worth it. The cost is half that of the Lodge and half to 1/4 of the cost of the Inn. You can still use the pool, spa, tennis courts, fitness facilities, concierge, ticket discounts, and everything else that comes with a stay at the fancier neighboring hotels. I would recommend the Griffin. No notes.

Beautiful hotel with European feel surrounded by nature and winery. Great breakfast!

This is an amazing resort & I highly recommend. Check in took about 15 minutes. Lori was able to handle a building change request to get both of my rooms in the same building. I had called ahead to request this but it did not happened but Lori was able to get it fixed. Then came the timeshare pitch. Kareem was informative but did not pressure me when I politely & firmly declined. Mgmt please reconsider this part of check in experience & just tell us what it is & give option of visiting concierge. I did not get an updated room which I also requested ahead of time. But room was clean. I was in bldg 20. The floors squeaked alot. Normal walking made floors squeak A LOT. It was so noisy. Try to avoid older buildings because of flooring. I did have to call for some items that housekeeping should have replenished but had not. Items were brought to me within a hr. The BEST part of this resort is the amenities! Especially for the kids. We plan to return & have one day where we just stay at the resort & enjoy all the amenities. We went to two theme parks & were too tired to do resort activities. We did view them and can't wait to return! All staff were very friendly.

Several of the ice machines on our floor were out of order. And those that were operational were very slow. Also, the tub in our room didn’t drain at all.
