The location for Stowe is great. This is an older building well maintained yet we noticed the porch a bit dusty, cushions and railings and floor. Breakfast was good but limited. There is a nice bar, but unmanned so you have to order drinks online for staff to bring. There are no cleaning, empty of trash, making beds, changing towels for stays of less than three nights. Considering the entire experience, the price is high.
Beautiful property and location. Gracious host and staff. Excellent breakfasts.

Our room was lovely with a cozy fireplace and fantastic bathtub jets. We didn't even want to leave to go to dinner. Our hosts were super nice, breakfast was awesome. Will definately come back here if we're in the area!
Fantastic stay. Multiple space to hang with great hosts and breakfast was delicious. We took full advantage of the hottub after our days on thr slopes.
Excellent experience, cozy house, jacuzzi, breakfast was great! The room was spacious, nice TV, a very small fridge, and a convenient coffee machine. I would stay again. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay in this very cozy and comfortable inn. Beautiful porch with mountain view. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful. Our hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The inn is located on the outskirts of Stowe on a somewhat busy road, but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Very atmospheric inn, nice seating room areas with games, fireplace, the host puts out tasty deserts in late evening, great breakfast with a view of the mountain.
Only thing to consider is that this hotel is not in the shuttle route. If you are ok driving - everything is very close - the town, the mountain.
The Brass Lantern should be on your list of places to stay. Well run, breakfast was excellent! We found it convenient for getting around to see the covered bridges in the area. Very comfortable living room for hanging out.
Beautiful Inn, attention to details makes for an amazing comfortable stay. Excellent breakfast, many coffee choices, chocolates at every turn! Loved it all.
Will likely return!!
What a wonderful experience!!
The facilities were amazing with a large open lawn and beautiful landscaping. Breakfasts were delicious and the whole experience was outstanding.
We would go back in a heartbeat.
It’s always been a dream of mine to stay in a bed and breakfast in Vermont during fall and Brass Lantern exceeded my expectations. Such a relaxing vibe with excellent service and stunning beauty! Our room was beautiful, cozy, and comfortable! Only downside was our one night stay was not long enough!
We arrived at the Brass Lantern B&B on the day before the Sound of Music Concert in Stowe VT. A quaint location in town and we were able to visit the sites before the concert and enjoyed the Meet and Greet at the Trapp Family Lodge. We thoroughly enjoyed our room, the unique breakfasts, and the staff. The only negative was the weather; rained !!!
This location has just 9 guest rooms. Breakfast was changed daily and served per your request. We enjoyed watching the ducks and chickens from our room. Host was very helpful swapping our room when the air conditioner didn't work and drying our sneakers when we came in soaked by the rain.
