“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville.”

“Things we loved: Wonderful hosts, very friendly and communicative! Cast iron pans and multiple coffee making methods available for use were a plus! Cool bath/shower. “It’s right in the center of Broad Street with a really nice cafe downstairs that’s open at 7:00am every day and has fantastic homemade bacon breakfast burritos. The room is clean and beautiful. I had some difficulty at first getting into the building and into my room with the respective codes. The trick is to wait until the door entirely stops buzzing and only then push it open.
