Pros: Location
Cons: New furniture, wallpaper, paint, elevator, etc.
This Hotel is in bad need of a face lift. Everything about it is old.

Old hotel trying hard.

Posted May 15, 2017 on Hotels
The Grand Summit Hotel is an old hotel trying hard not to be an old hotel, but misses the mark on several points. There is only one elevator for guests, so there is sometimes a long wait for the elevator. There is no place to purchase snacks or toiletries (only one vending machine in the basement - lower level). The breakfast buffet was good, although we had to ask for fresh pancakes since the four in the pan were hard and cold. Grounds were well maintained. Check-In and Check-Out were easy, and the staff was efficient and polite.

Hotel was nice and clean the free breakfast was great walking distance to town and train to NYC the only problem I have is that the hotel changes $ 10.00per day for guests to park at the hotel witch I think is outrageous that should be free

Grand stay in Summit

Posted Feb 23, 2017 on Hotels
I was only in the hotel for a short time, so I didn't have an opportunity to use the business or fitness facilities. But I can tell you that the bed was comfortable, the room was quiet (or I was exhausted), the AC worked, the shower had good pressure, the towels were wonderfully fluffy, and there were ample outlets in the room for all one's electronics. The hotel is a quick walk to the train station and restaurants. Make sure to read the fine print, though - parking is an extra $9.25. That's still less than you'd pay in a garage, so while it's worth it, no one likes to be surprised.
