Decor is really strange, but loved the experience otherwise.

Nice hotel in the heart of Tallahassee

Posted Apr 2, 2018
Pros: Beautifully decorated.
We are Hilton Honors members and we stay in Doubletree's quite regularly and I have to say that this is by far the most beautiful one that we have been in. The staff is very nice and accommodating as well. My only criticism of this property is that the Starbucks in the lobby is only open very limited hours and if you want a coffee, snack or any other type of drink you have to go the the main restaurant or you have to walk into the city quite a few blocks because there is nothing directly around the property. The other issue is the parking. Because you are right in the middle of the city, street parking is not an option so you are stuck parking in the parking garage, ($15.00 self parking per night or $18.00 valet per night). Other than this, it is a great place to stay when visiting Tallahassee.

Informed the Front Desk of toilet continuing to run due to tank leaking down. Nothing done. Filled repeatedly all night. Loud!

Good Location to GSU

Posted Feb 7, 2018 on Hotels
Doubletree Tallahassee was in a great location to visit our granddaughter at FSU. Food was great. All of the employees were helpful. Found our renovated room was very dark even with all the lights on. First day had to request someone to clean our room.

Very near FSU

The lobby area is very pretty and the front desk gentleman answered all our questions concerning parking, where to eat, etc. The room was nice but the bathroom was small, as was the shower. The water sprayed out onto the floor whenever we showered even when the glass.door was closed, leaving the floor.wet and slippery. One morning we ate breakfast in the hotel and our waitress had a bad cold which was a concern. Also, the wait staff was setting up for an event later in the day so the dining experience waa noisy and distracting as they loudly discussed the set up, etc. Although we left the room at 7:30 a.m. it was not cleaned for.our next night's stay. Once we returned in the afternoon, we ordered towels. We did not have any replenishment of coffee, or toiletries. We were kind of bummed.about that. The in-lobby Starbucks was only open on Monday morning. The valet parking was convenient.Overall, it was average at best.
