“Late booking due to funeral at short notice and price was good especially as breakfast was included. Owner was exceptional, extremely polite & helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and extremely generous & tasty (tables were even laid with cloth napkins). Location also good - just a 10+ min walk to Wetherspoons & town centre after that. “The hotel is in a beautiful setting with great views over the surrounding countryside and a well maintained golf course. Our room was fairly basic and a little shabby which we expected to be more polished for the price paid. The restaurants were good, particularly the breakfast, included in our rate, which had a good selection and was great value for money. The food at the Cairns restaurant for dinner was nice but the service was a bit disjointed. There was a lot of staff but still took a while……
