The grounds are gorgeous — pools were a highlight and the beach was kept clean, though the ocean itself wasn’t swimmable, so plan on the pools for your water time. Activities were genuinely fun and most staff were warm and helpful.
Rooms need attention: ours was dated, and the mattress was rock-hard.
Our biggest disappointment was dining. Restaurants weren’t open every night, but the app still let us book reservations for closed nights, so we’d show up with no plan and end up at the buffet by default. Drink options were also limited and quality was inconsistent — a letdown for a resort at this level.
On top of that, staff kept pushing us to attend a timeshare-style presentation even after we politely declined multiple times. It felt intrusive and out of step with how relaxing everything else was designed to be. We ended up just not entering the lobby if we could avoid it.
Overall, a beautiful resort held back by dated rooms, disorganized dining logistics, and weak drink options. Worth considering if you can look past those, the resort common area beauty almost made up for it.
