9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,003 reviews)
We paid nearly $500 for one night, including amenity fees, pet fees, and parking fees, plus taxes on all those fees. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff is very nice. I suppose that’s why there are so many good reviews. However, our “pet friendly” room smelled like a dozen dogs urinated in it just prior to our arrival. It was disgusting. The window did not open, and it faced a stone wall, so there was no fresh air and no sunlight. It also has not been renovated in at least 20 years. Paint is peeling, carpets are filthy, and the bathroom is Motel 6-level.
The WiFi went down hours after our arrival and was still not fixed the next day by the time we had to check out. The pool was also closed for the entire evening of our stay. So much for that “amenity” fee! The whole stay was just so disappointing.
