“Very well appointed bedroom and finished to a very high quality. Kitchen facilities very good and overall a very pleasant place to be and sleep. Would recommend to anyone coming to the area”

“I did arrive at 9.15pm but had messaged ahead to say I would be late. No staff were on site the number I called brought a very helpful young chap from his home to let me in. The bar was closed so no refreshments. When I awoke next morning the hotel was pretty much locked no staff on site and no breakfast as I exited at 8.45. The hotel itself is nice and the chap that came to let me in was very pleasant but a hotel with no staff on site is poor in my book.”

“The receptionist was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. Allocated a room with a four poster bed, as I'm a little claustrophobic we asked to change room at reception, no problem at all. Overlooking the river with balcony we would definitely stay again in this room. It is a little tired but clean and comfortable.”

“Stayed for one night , the room was nice with a large bathroom. Breakfast was very good (full English) and staff very good. This should be described as a Bed & Breakfast not a Hotel.”

“Firstly the good points. Location, large room, outlook onto the garden was all good. However, the downsides 1. Despite check in advertised as "from 14:00" , when we arrived the front desk was shuttered and locked so we waited. Luckily a guest came down the stairs and told us check in had to be done at a pub across the busy road from the hotel. This is not stated anywhere on the confirmation document. Anyway, got the key and returned to the hotel. The room was very sparsely furnished but……
