I liked the friendliness of the staff and the cean bathroom and kitchen facilities. I also like the proximity to stores and dining options close by on Bloor street.
If you’re looking for an affordable, convenient location in the heart of the city, this place is great, it was very basic, though that’s to be expected.
I stayed for 8 days, attending several Rush concerts. The bed was a bit stiff but I acclimated to it. No fan or AC in the room. Minimal housekeeping - I was given a towel the first day but never received a fresh one. Sheets were never changed.
The first morning I used one of the showers - the room was a bit small and cramped and the water didn’t drain at the end. The next morning I discovered a nicer shower so I continued to use that one.
The staff was nice and okay though not overly friendly. I had no real issues coming and going - you’re given a code to enter. Parking was available at additional cost though very affordable and was super convenient.
Bottom line - if you’re looking for cheap lodgings with no frills and you’re willing to use a shared bathroom this is a great option. There was a small kitchen area available for use (for simple meals, was asked not to do anything major) but I did not use it,
I like the cleanliness of the property and safety. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is walkable to Bloor and subway. A grocery store, McDonalds, and drug store are steps away.
The staff were lovely. There was 2 things the rooms were hot. There is no fans, and no soap to wash the dishes so everyone was just rinsing the dishes and putting them back.

5minute walk to subway. Could reach hostal easily with public transport for $3.30.
Our room was in basement, full of old junk furniture. Overpriced
It’s not in the best area but neither was the location bad. It’s a budget no frills option so expectations should be at that level but I can’t fault my stay. I had a twin room with a shared bathroom and shared well appointed kitchen. Sharing was no hassle, the building and room was clean and in good order, plenty hot water with good water pressure, quiet, beds were comfortable, the room had a working but quiet modern aircon, staff were friendly and you could come and go whenever you wanted. The metro was close by. There was no street parking for non residents unless you want to risk $150 fine and given the vulture like regularity of the parking enforcement attendants that’s a certainty - but there is an option for a secure garage space. Contact staff at the time of booking and check if it’s available. It will cost $20 per day, Well worth it. Highly recommend.

The hostel is good. It’s well-located, close to the subway and Bloor. The area is clean and the kitchen has all that is needed for a quick meal. The problem was that on the first night, they put us in a room that had a solar roof and you couldn’t close it up. So by morning, the room was all bright as if the sun was in the bed. We complained and at first, they said they couldn’t do anything. Later that day, we talked to another staff member and they moved us to a very good large room. We stayed there for almost the entire period, but then on the day before checkout, they told us that we had to move since they’d booked the room we were in. They said it was because I had booked a double room but was in a twin bed room. We didn’t choose the rooms. I booked from my country and I couldn’t possibly have known about the rooms. Also, the later room we stayed in didn’t have air conditioning. When we asked about that, they said it was central AC. I couldn’t sleep that night because of the heat.
In summary, it’s well-located and we mostly liked our stay there but given what happened, I wouldn’t come back.
Toronto is an expensive city for hotels anywhere near the downtown area. This place while expensive for a hostel is close to downtown, only 3 minutes from the sherborn subway station. There is a McDonald’s and large cheap supermarket across the street. Also many restaurants nearby. I had a private room which was clean and comfortable although dark. The manager was very nice
Standard triple with private bathroom was excellent. Staff excellent. Access to all areas of toronto excellent. Quiet. Safe. Metro 5 minutes away. Wifi good. Price cheap by Toronto standards but remember its a hostel not a hotel ( though pretty close). Kitchen facilities excellent.
Would stay again. Better value than a hotel. Which are a rip off in Toronto.

A decent hostel experience, a but far uptown but nothing bad to say about the place
A great value for the price! Its super close to a subway station and there’s a no frills grocery store right across the street. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and attentive. My room was small but cozy and the AC worked great. Everyone staying on my floor was very polite and respectful. I would love to stay here again!
Super convenient location, but there was a guy sleeping in the hallway which was super uncomfortable... The listing said I would be sharing a bathroom with just one other room, but I was sharing with the entire floor and it didn't even include a shower. The showers were separate downstairs.
