I loved the rooms. The record player was great . Great selection of music. Close to the shoe museum and to great restaurants. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! I wouldn’t go Anywhere else if I were in Toronto.

Great location- close to good food and transit. Rooms are spacious and clean, though they could use a little TLC. The building does not have an elevator, but is only 3 floors. In general, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again for the location and spacious rooms

Everything was great, I really appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff was. The only thing is I think it’s great how community oriented the place is as there were two different events going on the two days I was there so the amenities weren’t as accessible but I don’t fault the property and think it’s good they’re holding events I would just check to with them before booking next time to see if any major events corresponded with my stay. But I would Absolutely stay again!

Room was clean. Temperature was good and beds were very comfortable and there was a fridge. But no t.v., and bathroom was split into a shower and a separate sink and toilet section which made it awkward. No complimentary water.

This place has always been magic to me; tucked behind Bloor Street and so accessible to everything. But what really made it stand out over other places was the staff particularly Lila who is just the consummate host - she made us feel so comfortable and at home through meticulous attention to detail and ensured our stay was simply terrific. How fortunate for the hotel to have someone like this in their employ - and how lucky we were to be made to feel so welcome. Highly recommend this place.

I love staying at the annex. I’ve been there several times as soon as close to my nephew’s place. I feel so comfortable and at home in the rooms and just love the café downstairs. It’s close to so many wonderful places!

Loved the minimalist look and feel of our room! Clean, bright and spare - in a good way. Staff and guests skew young, but that gives the place nice energy. Surprisingly quiet - well, there was that one night and that one couple ;) No elevator, so might be a challenge for some. Close to Bathurst station, Metro for groceries, Trendy Wash for laundry, and countless cafes and bars.

The Annex was the perfect home base for a few days exploring Toronto. The staff was great, check-in was easy, and the whole place has a cool, low-key vibe. The rooms have exposed brick, record players, and a minimal studio feel. One heads-up: if you require a high level of bathroom privacy, this might not be your jam. The bathroom/shower setup is pretty open, with glass-door partitions. Totally fine for me, but worth noting depending on who you’re traveling with. The hotel is located in a really cool neighborhood near the University of Toronto… super walkable, close to lots of public transit options, with tons of great restaurants, local shops, and plenty to explore. Overall, a fun, easy stay in a great part of Toronto.
